The Pacific Sutera Hotel

The intense heat coupled with a prolonged wait made me feel extremely uncomfortable, even causing my blood pressure to rise. The hotel sent maintenance to check the air conditioning, but the issue wasn't resolved promptly, so I had to strongly insist on an immediate room change. Even more disappointing was the unfriendly attitude of some staff members. Due to a foot injury, I had difficulty walking and asked for assistance with parking to avoid a long walk. Even though I offered a tip, no help was provided. The sunset views here are indeed beautiful, which is the only positive aspect. However, the overall stay was disappointing. I won't consider staying here again in the future, nor will I recommend it to friends. And the breakfast wasn't good either.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with a pool, gym, and private beach. Breakfast was also delicious. The only two downsides are the lack of a self-service laundry facility (you have to send it out) and the 3 PM check-in time.

Excellent location right in the city center, with its own private beach and pier, plus a unique bar. The entire hotel smells wonderful, and the sun and beach make the whole place incredibly bright and dazzling. It's a great spot for families or individuals looking for a short stay. The service is also top-notch. I'll definitely be back!

Before coming here, I saw a lot of hotel horror stories on Xiaohongshu, but after checking in, I found it wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be. The hotel staff were quite friendly. The breakfast wasn't particularly amazing, but there was a good variety of options. The room facilities, especially the bathroom, are indeed a bit old, but overall it's acceptable. There's a small beach behind the hotel and also a swimming pool with shallow water, which is fine for kids. There's a restaurant by the beach, but it's very expensive and not very tasty. Overall, the experience was decent.

The hotel is well-maintained and conveniently located, though you'll need to use Grab for transportation in and out. The swimming pool is quite large, and it shares common areas with the adjacent Magellan hotel. A yacht marina sits between them, giving it a very upscale, 'old money' vibe.

The hotel is excellent and very interesting, with lots of activities. The breakfast is also great.

The room was clean, and we enjoyed stunning sunset views right from the hotel. They also offer luggage storage, which was very convenient for getting around. The staff were all incredibly patient, the environment was peaceful, and we could even book island-hopping tours directly through the hotel.

We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade when checking in, offering a full ocean view. It was absolutely stunning and made me feel like we'd chosen the perfect hotel – a true beachside getaway is exactly what a vacation needs! The room itself was very spacious, and the bathroom was even bigger, cleaner, and brighter than it appeared in the online photos. We arrived late and caught the tail end of the sunset, and it only took a few minutes to walk down to the beach to see it. My friend and I aren't early risers, so we skipped Jesselton Point the next day and instead departed directly from the hotel's pier to Manukan Island. There were plenty of boat times available, and we took the 12:30 PM one. There's a dedicated boat for hotel guests, which also drops you back at the hotel – super convenient. If you want to visit The Magellan, the hotel also provides a shuttle bus. The Magellan is more family-friendly, but if you're looking for better value, The Pacific is definitely the way to go. However, I do have to mention that many of the hotel's facilities are quite old. The showerhead was leaking, and I hope they'll replace it soon.
