It was a marvellous experience The ayurvedic treatments were exceptional and the doctors took care of me from the first to the last minute of my stay . The swimming pool was with an exceptional panoramic view of the Arabian sea . The front office was extremely helpful aswell as housekeeping the flours in the garden were enchanting.

My stay at Somatheeram Ayurveda was extraordinary. This was a deeply humbling and healing journey, and I am beyond grateful for the exceptional care and hospitality we received. From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth and attentiveness. A special thank you to Mr. Sujesh, the property manager, for making my experience seamless and stress-free. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly stands out. The doctors were incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and insightful, providing expert guidance that made a real difference in my healing process. My therapists were excellent, ensuring that every treatment was both relaxing and effective. The room service staff was outstanding, always patient and prompt with their service, making sure we had everything we needed. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, keeping everything pristine and being exceptionally attentive to details. Beyond the treatments, the experience was enriched by the fun and well-organized tours, and the yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises were incredibly beneficial in restoring balance and peace. The food was simply delicious—every meal was a treat, with decadent desserts that I thoroughly enjoyed. The property itself is breathtaking—peaceful, filled with positive energy, and exuding tranquility. It truly is a sanctuary for the mind, body, and soul. I am leaving Somatheeram feeling healed, rejuvenated, and incredibly grateful. I can’t wait to return, this time with my family, to experience this beautiful holistic retreat again. We stayed for 12 nights in this beautiful little resort and enjoyed every minute. Excellent food (every day a large variety of yuuummiiiee vegetarian food)), great massages (thanks to Ancy), good supervision of the ayurvedic doctors and very relaxing yoga sessions (thank you Sabu for the nice singing-meditation parts!). The resort is in a green garden and on a hill with great views over the arabian sea. We didn‘t go swimming in the sea, but the pool is large and absolutely refreshing. A big thank you to the hotel manager Mr Sujesh and his whole team for taking such good care of us. If we needed a taxi, it was there in 2mins; if we wanted to visit Trivandrum or the backeaters, it was arranged in 5 mins! You all made our stay very enjoyable, many thanks!

This is a unique place where everyone will find peace, distance from the world and relax. Fascinating accommodation, excellent food, unique treatments, helpful, friendly and exceptional staff. We spent here a wonderful time with fantastic service and support given by profesional team.

I loved every minute of my Ayurveda wellness retreat experience at the mother property of Somatheeram in Kovalam . From the pickup service to the warm welcome by the reception desk and the Property manager Sujesh - every individual is caring and extremely helpful in every situation. This property is absolutely beautiful. The way the gardens have been maintained to the idols and statues placed everywhere- you will definitely slow down and look at them and appreciate it. The cottages are spacious and comfortable with decent size bathrooms and plenty of storage space for the guests. The food here is outstanding and based on the prakriti analysis that the doctor prescribes - you can choose from various options and it is actually very tasty and healthy. I really enjoyed my treatments , oil massages , steam bath, milk bath and scrub ! I felt like a queen . The owner Sir Baby Matthews and his family have developed a great relationship with the staff and every guests that visit . I would really encourage you to try this place and you will not regret the decision. Overall, a 5 star experience. Somatheeram is an excellent place for learning about your healthy body, mind and soul . After the treatment, when you go back , try to implement some of the things that the doctors advise to get the maximum benefits for long term as Ayurveda is not to cure a condition but best to prevent it if done correctly under the right supervision. And try to look at all the properties that they have and choose the best for yourself . There’s Ayursoma & Manaltheeram within 5 minutes and they are all beautiful. I can’t wait to go back with my husband and my friends in future . I really enjoyed the yoga and meditation sessions in the morning & I really looked forward to the treatments every afternoon. There’s an Ayurvedic medicine shop in the premises where you can purchase anything that you like. We should definitely go for holidays that are focused on healthy living and healthy eating. Oh and I forgot to mention the swimming pool and the hammocks that were part of the daily routine and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and going back completely rejuvenated. A very beautiful and peaceful place for an excellent ayurveda treatment with optional yoga and meditation sessions. Placed in between a very pretty garden and with it‘s closeness to the beach, the resort offers a relaxing time. Many thanks goes to the very friendly and helpfull staff, also for organising an amazing New Years celebration.

It was november/december 2023 Everything was just perfect, I was with my Mum, my husband and his Mum. It was very intime and quiet, we stayed in the bungalows of Somatheeram. A little piece of Paradise. The treatments were so qualitative I didn’t even get cold the whole winter in France ! I wish I could come every year !!!

I was absolutly charmed by the sophisticated simplicity of everything. The people, the cleanliness, the treatments, the pool, the yoga.. everything made me happy. I will definitely come back once or twice a year for my physical and mental health.

It was the 3 time I visited Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort and I plan to come there regulalry. Honestly I like everything there; food, daily ayurvedic treatments, accomodations and of course the group of employes, who are very nice and helpful in everything. For me the most amazing is the cottages location in the jungle, under the high palm trees surrounded by lush vegatation. The silence, sounds, excellent temperature and the high humidity makes me feel very good there. Ayurvedic treatments make my body, soul and mind quiet and happy. I really come back home cured and with inner pease in my heart. What I'd change there? Maybe I only would open the "cats home" and let the cats live free. So one day if you saw the door open and no cat inside you can immidiately blame me, it's agree ;-). I come again.

And the food – authentic, flavorful, lovingly prepared, fresh and varied three times a day – was nourishment not only for the body but also for the spirit. The yoga and meditation practice with excellent teachers was a true guide – encouraging us to go beyond our limits while learning the correct techniques with care and precision. Somatheeram is an eco-sustainable place where no plastic is used and where local handcrafted clay items are widely embraced. Finally, a beautiful open-air nursery displays the plants used in Ayurveda, each one labeled with its name. Everything was perfect – more than perfect – filled with such beauty. Incredible place to stay. 5 star luxury resort. Super Comfy beds, deluxe rooms, wonderful Yoga teachers, friendly dining staff. Food is divine. The view and the facilities are top notch. Situated in a lovely safe village of Chowara with nice shops around.
