OK, ... so there are certainly some red flags about this property, including the number of different hotel names that seem to refer to this one place: "Ayodhaya Palace Krabi Beach Resort", "Krabi Success Beach Resort", "Le Ayodhaya Palace Krabi Beach Resort", "MW Krabi Beach Resort", "Nature Beach Resort Krabi", ... Our booking was at "Nature Beach Resort Krabi."
We stayed for a week at the end of 2025, into 2026, ... so peak times. It was expensive, but not ludicrous (about 3500-4000 THB per room per night).
Negatives:
Right from the start, there were problems. Check-in was supposed to be from 2 pm (according to our booking): The hotel said no, only from 3 pm. (Check-out was listed as 12 noon, but the hotel said 11 --- they did relent and leave us until 12.)
The check-in/-out area was chaotic.
Some of the staff (managers/supervisors, perhaps) were quite dismissive, bordering on rude.
We had booked two twin suites, they only had king beds left --- OK for Mama and Papa, but not for two sons (15 & 11).
The rooms (and the entire complex) had certainly seen better days, with fixtures and furnishings missing or in poor repair (no bedside lights in one room; the wooden doors into the bathroom and between the bathroom and bedroom were warped and wouldn't close properly; the safe was not bolted to anything, and could relatively easily be removed; ...).
The breakfast (which we did not have) looked embarrassingly poor for the price.
The poor bar (and other bars) was not open, and apparently hasn't been for several years.
The TVs didn't seem to have working channels.
The pool area was quite dilapidated, looking quite dangerous in places (especially one of the parts of the pool without water, but about 1.5 m deep).
The entire complex had a lot of broken-down corridiors and areas --- another review correctly described it as being like in a horror movie.
OK, all those things aside, there were also some good things:
Positives:
Some of the staff were very nice. The cleaners were very helpful. Summer (a senior associate, or supervisor) was very kind and went out of her way to address some of the problems (including bringing an extra bed to one room so my sons didn't have to try to share one bed).
The rooms are large, with balconies.
The pool is large.
The beach is only about 200 m away.
There was certainly an atmosphere/character to the buildings. The architecture looks great.
In addition to proximity to the beach, there are many restaurants, bars, shops, and a night market, within a few hundred meters.
Overall, this hotel could be a gem ... but it needs a refresh, including for its staff. For us, our stay wasn't the horror story that it seems many others had, but it was far from perfect, too. I would hesitate before booking here again, but, for a good price, I would be willing to risk another stay.
