We stayed here previously prior to Covid. Then it was tired but not as awful as it was this time. Never again. The owner, Paisan was in Bangkok but contactable by email. However his wife was now meant to be caring for the bungalows. She cannot speak English and there was no one available who could. First week there was a lovely couple with a baby who kept the grounds and pool tidy. The wife sacked them. When we arrived we hadn’t even got our suitcases out of the taxi and she had her hand out for the rent. She then got her phone out to take photos/ videos of us to show how happy we were. We were both exhausted and this was the last thing we wanted. On going into the bungalow it was dirty. Fridge full of mould, the headboard to our bed was disgusting. Toilet brown stained and hadn’t been cleaned. Cupboard under the sink leaking water and awful smell. The bungalow at times stunk of sewage. There was no Wi-Fi or coffee shop which is advertised or 24 hour staff. Unable to use kitchen as advertised as the wife kept locking it. You cannot put toilet paper down the toilet so we used nappy bags however the outside bin wasn’t emptied daily. After four days with those bags in the sun wasn’t pleasant. Pool had a slight green tinge so my husband complained via email to Paisan and he arranged for the pool to be cleaned. This happened at least three times whilst we were there however we did go to Cambodia for 11 days. We had rented a two bedroom bungalow with electric included. We were getting texts from other guests saying to turn of our aircon. I had accidentally left it on once. After my husband complained about the pool the wife ignored us and was discussing us with other guests. We were made to feel uncomfortable. We had privately arranged a taxi to take us into Krabi town. The taxi couldn’t come into the complex as she asked him for 200bht as we were her guests. I was so cross. We hadn’t arranged a taxi through her. Thankfully he refused and parked on the road The wife has planted too many plants. We were plagued by mosquitoes. Our niece came to stay for seven days. Paisan contacted us and said we would have to pay another 2000bht for electric. My husband refused. Because of so many issues and made to feel uncomfortable we decided to move on. It was such a relief. I will say Paisan was kind enough to refund us the remaining rent although the wife through a young couple made it clear she wasn’t happy. This place could be lovely if Paisan took control and spent money on updating it. It has such potential however the wife needs to take a back seat.

First stayed here February 2020 and really enjoyed it, was good for the price. The bungalows were basic but clean, there was always someone on site (not always English speaking), it had Wifi, good pool and communal kitchen and was in a good location. Paisan, the owner, spoke English and was excellent. We booked our next trip which was delayed by the Pandemic. We were so looking forward to returning. Paisan had arranged for us to be picked up from the airport which was very kind after a very long flight, however as soon as we got to the bungalow Paisan was no-where to be seen and his wife immediately put her hand out for the money. Tired and exhausted, we handed over the cash. In the morning and in daylight, it became apparent that the condition of the accommodation had deteriorated - both bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned in months, the small kitchen area was dirty, the microwave and kettle didn’t work, and no Wifi despite still being advertised as having it. The communal kitchen was locked, there were no staff on sight. Paisan was contactable via email, and arranged for the kettle & microwaved to be swapped with one in an empty bungalow. We had to buy cleaning liquid to clean the toilets and sinks. Over the next few days, there were issues with the pool which was going cloudy, there were large cracks in the area surrounding it. A variety of issues pushed us to change our accommodation to another complex. Paisan was very good and arranged for us to be refunded for the days we no longer required. Such a shame, it needs Paisan to go back to managing it, needs refurbing, better comfortable furniture and less ‘tat’. Less is quite often more …

From the experience of staying at Chokpak Resort, it is very quiet, shady, the swimming pool is clean and clear, surrounded by trees and flowers. The accommodation may not be very clean but we told the owner to let the housekeeper clean at all times. The air conditioner is cold. On the second day, the water was quite yellow, but we understood that it was under renovation by Ao Nang Village. We stayed for 2 weeks and were very satisfied with the price and the care of the resort. We just had to tell them and they would take care of it immediately. The female owner was very cute and kind. She gave us souvenirs every time she visited. We promised to come back again next time. From a guest in room 6
