Room was spacious, but unfortunately the plug sockets and lights didn’t work.
It was raining during my stay, and when I asked for an umbrella, I was told to check the wardrobe. After explaining that there wasn’t one, I was told I would be given one, but it never arrived. Thankfully, a room next to us kindly let us borrow one of theirs as they had two.
Cleanliness was a major issue.
There was visible mould on the pillow, the curtains, and even on the balcony area. The bathroom was also quite run down, covered in limescale, and the toilet bin (which had used tissue in it) wasn’t changed when the cleaner came in. The shower was broken, there was no shower shelf, and the bathtub taps didn’t work at all.
The pool area also needs attention.
The flooring is covered in sharp pebbles which don’t feel safe. While I was there, a lady tripped on a step and cut both her knees—yet the pool bar staff didn’t have any first aid equipment to help her.
On the positive side, the location is great. As soon as you walk out of the resort, you’re right on the main ***** with bars, restaurants, and markets. Access to the private beach is definitely a plus, though service for food and drinks was extremely slow.
Overall, Krabi Resort feels like it once was an amazing place to stay, but it’s now run down and in serious need of updates.
I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again, especially considering how overpriced it is for what you actually get.
