Stayed at this prestigious hotel 5 years ago and just couldn't fault it. Stay again recently to find out it has been taken over. If it better??? In one word, no. The luxury is still the same, the staff are very pleasant and helpful but... It's lost its, well, specialness. Everything seemed slightly false. It appears to be trying to hard. Gone is the feeling of doing the normal things very well to having the feeling of trying to be too exclusive. Breakfast was, nouveau cuisine ish. There is no bar to talk off, supposedly being upgraded (which had been going on according to other reviews for well over a month!!!!) and replaced by a small excuse at the end of the dining room. Don't get me wrong, it's still a wonderful place to stay. The location is superb. The decor wonderful. Just not what it was, in my opinion.

A pleasant spa zone, a large swimming pool with attractions, e.g. counter-current, waterfall. There is a jacuzzi for several people. Unfortunately only 6 sunbeds and a sauna with a glass door in view. Delicious breakfast, a large selection of dishes from the a la carte and in the buffet (there is even sushi). It's worth coming for the breakfast alone. The air conditioning in the room resets to 22 degrees every time you leave, it's a bit too cold.

I stayed here 6 years ago and returned with 5 friends as it is so well located and we were so well looked after by the staff previously. This hotel is 80 metres from the main square, local Polish restaurants in the same street were delicious and such fantastic value if it’s too chilly at markets to eat outside. The hotel is older in style, we loved its grandeur. It is immaculately clean with a wide choice of food for breakfast. What has made this hotel so fantastic is the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. They arranged taxis, luggage, always checking we had all we needed. We celebrated one lady’s birthday requesting from the restaurant manager a reserved table for 6 of us at a busy breakfast time. She truly surpassed expectations. We arrived to a beautifully decorated table, they played happy birthday and our friend was thrilled. Andreja one of the doormen is a sweetheart. He gave us a tour of the old ballroom, lighting up the gorgeous glass ceiling for us to see, did lots of photos by the Christmas tree of us all and treated us like royalty, helping with bags, getting coats on. Just back from 3 nights at Hotel Unicus Palace - an amazing experience from start to finish. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, going above and beyond for guests. Always plenty staff at the front desk & spa reception. They made our stay so easy! The rooms are beautiful, cleaned daily & to a high standard. Location of the hotel is ideal, only a minutes walk to the main square. Loads of shops & places to ear near by. The spa is amazing - hot tub & pool always very clean and so relaxing. My partner proposed to me whilst we were staying at the hotel - the trip was incredible and the hotel will always be special to me for this reason. Thank you for a great stay.

The room is large, there is a place to put the box, but the bed is not big, not far from the old town and the train station, probably in the middle. There is a music school in the hotel, and there are always students from the college who are practicing the piano and passing out beautiful music. I don’t know if the air conditioner in the room is broken, not too cool, the house is quite tidal, the other is ok, there is breakfast, but the variety can not eat much.

Great week vacation. Visited Krakow for a week vacation with another family. Beautiful hotel amazing views from the rooms. Rooms very clean with very nice design. Book a river view room with club lounge access. Great lounge with amazing afternoon beverage and snacks offering. The breakfast is the best ever had. Big variety and great service staff. The location Is the best in the city close to wawel castle and only some minutes walk from the main marker square. Krakow is beautiful city. Authentic buildings and many restaurants and cafes . Very friendly city for bike and walks.

Check in is at a different hotel across the road, we were not told this in advance however I had seen it in previous reviews. Make sure you bring your earplugs, the trams are extremely loud and the windows are paper thin. Connecting walls are also paper thin so could hear our next door neighbours loud and clear. Breakfast was good, decent selection, as a vegetarian I usually suffer but there were decent veggie options. Location is great, just a short walk to the main centre and a little bit further to the train station. Overall good value for money

Yarden is conveniently located as it is half an hour from the airport and a 10 minute walk to the main square. We stayed in room 112 in a garden view room but found that the room wasn’t very well sound proofed as we got woken up a lot of times to the noise of voices and doors slamming etc. Our room was basic with a small double bed, a TV on the wall, a balcony and a small bathroom with a good shower. We also had access to WiFi in our room. We payed extra for breakfast but wish we hadn’t. Although it was very cheap to book we found the cooked breakfast was cold and had been sat around for a while and there were not many options. If you get down there at 7am it’s a bit better. Checking in was ok, they looked after our bags until 2pm when we could check in and we were able to book a taxi back to the airport. Overall, the hotel is good value for money but you do get what you pay for. It’s conveniently placed but rather basic.

I was a little sceptical as some of the reviews mentioned it was noisy at night time, but they provide ear plugs. It also wasn’t noisy at all. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and our room was exactly like the photos and was extremely clean. It is about a 10 minute walk into the old town but the walk itself is beautiful and you are there before you know it. Only negative would be we were on the top floor and there aren’t any lifts, but I am sure you could request a room on the bottom floor if you needed it.

Charming decoration, located 10m away from old town and railway station, friendly and 24hs reception, clean and tidy. With elevator. I stayed one night, just to take a cab the following day to go to the airport at 6am. I didn't taste the breakfast. Unfortunately my low rate comes from the bad insulation of the rooms. This is an old house that has been converted into a hotel. There should have been a bigger investment in buying insultation material for the walls. If somebody just talk in the neighbour room you will hear everything. I was first located in a room that looked at the road, and the windows also didn't insulate the sound. I requested a change, but in the second room I was still hearing the talk of the neighbours next door.

It was our first time in Krakow and we stayed here for 3 nights. The hostel was clean and located in a very good location. It is very near to all the historic places of the city. The staff were very friendly. The only thing I don't like about this hostel was the breakfast, too expensive for low-quality ham, (boiled) eggs, toasted bread. I would advise ppl to just find and eat at some breakfast place (there is a lot!) nearby where you would pay the same amount but get a way better food. Oh and I hope too that the hostel organize activities for solo travelers, that would be awesome if guests has a chance to socialize to each other.

We arrived very early in Krakow & were able to leave our bags 1st thing in the morning to go & explore. Location very close to old town & a comfortable 5/10 mins walk. Our 1st night was not great due to other guests making a lot of noise. We mentioned this in the morning & were lucky enough to be moved to a different room which was perfect 😊the breakfast was lovely & varied & I was over the moon to have a Greek salad one morning! It maybe a good idea to label a couple of the dishes that are not familiar to the British, as I like to try different foods but came unstuck with one of the items which was very fishy! Maybe my own fault for trying 🙃
