Emerald Hotel

Our stay at the Emerald Hotel was beyond disappointing. Firstly, the internet was excruciatingly slow, making it nearly impossible to do anything online. The cleanliness of the hotel was appalling; our room was filthy upon arrival, and the pool was disgustingly dirty. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. We were met with nothing but disrespect and rudeness throughout our entire stay. It's utterly unacceptable to be treated in such a manner as paying guests. Overall, our experience at the Emerald Hotel was a complete nightmare. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you enjoy slow internet, dirty rooms, and being verbally abused by the staff. This hotel has a long way to go in terms of customer service and cleanliness. Avoid at all costs.

My room was immaculate, offering a serene view of the pool. The attentive staff ensured a pleasant experience and the prices were reasonable. Room was well-equipped and had also a safe, kitchen with utensils, refrigerator, TV and a hairdryer. The comfortable sleep was complemented by the efficient air conditioning. Overall, I had an amazing stay with excellent amenities and value for money.

Very clean and hotel staff always helpful. Continental buffet breakfasts are a bit limited and samey, but the 4 course evening meals are of a good quality varied and with a choice on traditional Greek dishes . Rooms 3 star and a bit tired . AirCon expensive at €10/day. Handy for buses (€3 into Rhodes) and local supermarkets. Pools well kept and inviting. Local pebbly beach about 5- 7 mins walk away- take some foot protection if wish to go swimming.

Great hotel but on the airport landing flight path sadly. We stayed in block 7 as asked for quiet and it was as far away as possible from the bar. Music 10am till 10pm 👍 our room looked brand new and was superb condition. We had a great time but the aircraft did spoil it somewhat- some at 2am - many at 6 am and Every 10 minutes most days. We had a good deal though so definitely not complaining. Avoid local restaurants and supermarket- walk out the front door turn left then left at the top is a great supermarket or turn right and walk into town- Kalagris Restaurant is superb 👍👍

Absolutely amazing hotel staff can’t do enough for you Maria on reception what a star and George and his team absolutely go over and above.our room was beautiful and cleaned to high standards daily we went half board and the food was delicious with plenty of choice.Dominic was always on hand to greet up with a happy and friendly welcome every time he seen us. We can’t wait to return back next year So a huge thank you to everyone who helped us have the most wonderful time in Greece. Lots of love ❤️ Donna and Paul Aberdeen scotland xx

I'll start with the positives, cleaners do a very good job, pools are great & always sunbeds available. Reception staff are lovely. Only ate here a couple of times but what we did have was good. Negatives, Nothing much in the area if not hiring a car other than a few places to eat. I'd booked to keep my room on 8 months prior to going as we were flying home late, thinking I'd have all day to pack then the night before a note was put under my door saying we had to be out the next morning & move to another room, I was annoyed that we'd been there 2 weeks then get about 12 hrs notice & have to pack so late to move to a smaller room with only towels for 2 people when there was 3 of us. The young waiter with the man bun spent the 2 weeks of our holiday eyeing up my daughter, not even discreetly, making her feel very uncomfortable, i watched him looking at alot of young pretty girls, 1 day he stopped & full on stared at a girl climbing up the ladder out of the pool, 1 of the girls who my daughter made friends with he found her on social media & was messaging her telling her how sexy she was (she was 13) I asked 3 times before I got to speak to a manager about it & she was the rudest manager I've ever met, she kept talking over me not letting me speak then said he'd worked at the hotel for 6 years (making him 12 coz he'd told the girl in question he was only 18) & all the customers loved him, I told her as a mother & a hospitality manager I found it very inappropriate & unprofessional when young girls are dressed in bikinis. All she kept saying was he's lovely & he's only young he's doing nothing wrong. I told her in England a 18 year old man talking to a 13 year old girl is illegal. She then opened the office door & said "thank you, you're not welcome back in this hotel ever again" I did tell her if nothing was done then I would be putting it on trip advisor which her response was go ahead write what you want. Rooms are very dated & we asked for a high room with pool view & ended up with ground floor with garden view over carporch. This is a nice hotel just a warning if you have teenage daughters.

We stayed for 2 weeks in emerald, last year was 10 days, but that was too short for us. Coming back to emerald was like coming home! Especially Maria and George are worth mentioning, Maria at the reception is always waiting for you with a smile and a talk how you spend your day, and with tips for the island. George is always there for diner and drinks in the evening, with a lot of humor he helps you for a good choice of food and drinks. We are looking forward to come back next year!

Super hotel for families. Rooms are a little dated but cleaned/bins emptied/ fresh towels daily. The pools are superb, clean and plenty of sunbeds to go around. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and kind. A special mention to Maria on Reception as nothing is too much to ask. Thankyou so very much for your help. We are halfway through a two week stay with a young child, and I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Stayed here for 1 month, 2 weeks with just myself and my daughter, then my husband came to join us for the last 2 weeks. Cannot fault the hotel or the customer service we received in any way!! Massive thank you to Maria on reception, this lady works absolutely tirelessly and always has the biggest smile on her face!! A huge asset to the hotel, she made me feel welcome, when a couple of small issues happened with the room, she personally sorted them so quickly and I can’t thank her enough! The rooms were clean, our cleaner was lovely (dark curly hair, usually tied up in a low bun) - sorry I didn’t manage to get her name, but we were in room 306 and she was the only lady to clean our room whilst we were there. Like Maria, she always had the biggest smile on her face and always stopped to chat and did a fabulous job on our room! The waiters/waitresses gave great service round by the pool during the day, even in the heat, they where up and down constantly with smiles on there faces!! The exact same can be said for the bar staff on a night, one of the guys (talk, spikey hair and glasses - again didn’t get his name) would walk straight over and ask if we wanted our usual drinks, which was a lovely touch and he was always happy to change coins into a 2€ for the claw machine my daughter was obsessed with! (Not bad though as you win a prize every time, so kept her entertained). Pools and pool area were kept spotlessly clean! Location was amazing too!! Can definitely recommend the car hire company next to the ideal bar, we had a car for 3 day from them. Thank you so much for an amazing holiday!!
