The location is gorgeous. Had impala walking past our chalet in the morning. Food at the restaurant is overpriced and not very good. The chalet was clean and well maintained but not of a 5 star standard. A good place for walks just generally relaxing.

Amazing experience. Staff was really friendly and helpful and made my stay even better.

It was a very good experience as a whole with Colleagues. The setting is stunning, staff is attentive to details and make you feel to belong. The food is good and on time. I was impressed by how quick water was replaced in the conference venue while we were busy. I will definitely recommend this to anyone.

We had a great stay. The lodge is beautiful with a lake and a backdrop of mountains. It was very peaceful and you could connect with nature. The staff was great and always willing to assist. The downside is the restaurant meal portions are too small, unfortunately we did not find value for money in buying there. Nevertheless, our experience was great and I would definitely recommend the lodge.

What a beautiful 1 night getaway celebrating my husband’s birthday. After making the booking a very friendly lady called & asked if we were celebrating anything special & for R600 i purchased what is referred to as their ‘Romantic Turndown’.. there were rose petals, tea-light candles, champagne & a bunch of flowers waiting for us when we got to the room. Gorgeous! My only suggestion for this would be to tailor a different turndown option if the celebration is for a male- something else instead of flowers & perhaps some cold beers instead of champagne-just an idea. Unfortunately we did not have supper because we had quite a late lunch: the cocktails & food at the bistro is amazing, pro tip: if you’re into the bacon & Brie combo, there’s a pizza on their menu that will hit the spot! Shout out to Josephine for your great service at the Bistro. We decided to try their hiking trail on the Saturday morning & we were not disappointed, we were lucky enough to see some wildebeest & buck during our hike. The one suggestion that I have here is to have more markers. The breakfast is the usual layout for a buffet style breakfast, the food is nice & fresh but the view you get to enjoy while eating makes it worthwhile.

Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa is a must - spectacular scenery, 5-star staff service and quality food. Only area needing attention and upgrade are the room interiors.

I booked my trip 20 days prior to check in. I arrived at the property around 7pm. I paid and then I was directed to an executive suite when I had booked a superior suite. The person at reception could not explain to me what had happened. He called a supervisor who couldn't explain it either. I kept getting told there was nothing they could do. When I said I had paid for an executive suite,the supervisor was quick to say that I hadn't paid but I had just paid. I refused to take the executive suite and I left around 7pm. What was supposed to be a relaxing time to refuel and rest became a stressful, nightmare. I am still waiting for my refund.

It is evident that this was once a top destination for conferences and leisure travel in the area. But the venue is in decline and basic standards seem to be non-existent, i.e. cleanliness. The staff are great and make up for the unhygienic facilities. If the management has the will to turn it around, this can become THE destination of choice for travelers who are looking for a beautiful location, not too far from Johannesburg that has access to superb experiences like game drives, hot air ballooning, a spa, and many other attractions. Rent/buy a Karcher and clean from corner to corner.

I found the lodge / place to be very relaxing with great service accompanied by the best conferencing experiece ever.

Check in is at 14h00, we arrived at 15h15 from a wonderful experience at the spa, the room was still filthy from the previous occupants who should have vacated the room by 10h00, and reception then has the audacity to hand us the room key knowing the room had not yet been cleaned

The accommodation, breakfast and spa was amazing. Everyone let us feel very welcome and special. The fire place made the room nice and warm. The view of the Air Balloons on Sunday morning was amazing.

This resort is in a lovely setting and promises great things but, unfortunately, does not deliver. The staff were obsequious but rather inept. The rooms were very comfortable, but the decor is tired and shabby. The food was not worth the very steep prices.
