Sunway Hotels Properties in Kuala Lumpur

Oops, I wrote the last review incorrectly 😂 How do I delete it? I got this hotel mixed up with one in Malacca! 🤣 Overall, this hotel is pretty good. There's a mall right downstairs, making it convenient for dining. The breakfast selection is quite extensive, but it can get crowded. The swimming pool is outdoors and offers views of both the Petronas Towers and KL Tower. The hotel's cleanliness is excellent throughout. My only minor complaint is that we booked two rooms, and on the first night, one was 1842, right next to the elevator. We heard the elevator going up and down all night. Luckily, they moved us to adjacent rooms for the second night.

After staying for a few days, the staff remember me and are really accommodating. Was upgraded with the park view. The room is smaller but the view is great. Breakfast selection is amazing too. Thanks to Zac too for the great service.

The location is excellent, and the room was spacious. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The hotel feels quite dated, and the administration was disappointing. I was entitled to complimentary parking and had already registered my vehicle number before arrival. However, it was never updated in the system, forcing me to walk all the way back from the car park to the reception just to resolve the issue. This should not happen in a hotel of this standard. The biggest disappointment was the hot water. The heater in my room was not working, and after the technician arrived, I was told that rooms on the lower floors always have this problem and that there was nothing they could do. It’s unacceptable for a hotel to knowingly rent out rooms with a known hot water issue. After making several complaints, I was finally asked to change rooms—at midnight. Having to pack, move, and settle into another room so late at night completely disrupted my stay.

Love the room as it is spacious and there is a bathtub for my kids, the hotel is linked to the waterpark and Sunway pyramid mall which is very convenient for us. The only disadvantage is there is no auto laundry in the hotel or mall for large families to wash their clothes for long stay.

The hotel's location is pretty good. While it's not in the absolute center of Kuala Lumpur, there's a mall, hotels, and a metro station nearby. Getting to the city center isn't too far, just a 10-minute drive. We were in town to visit universities in KL, and this location was convenient for reaching different parts of the city.
