Best Hotels with Gym in Kuching

Very much centrally located. 3min walk to the Kuching Waterfront by the river. Lots of nearby shops to buy souvenirs, kek lapis and clothing. There is a mall at the lower ground so very easy and convenient. Booked premier room with river view but was given free upgrade to 2 bedroom suite facing the river. Superb! Comfy bad and spacious rooms though the fridge was not working and sink was quite blocked. Reported during check out. Downside is this unit is at level 8 so can be quite noisy at night with the mooncake festivals street kiosks and mosque nearby. The breakfast spread was very2 good with lots of choice. The negative part was the pastries were quite cold and hopefully the staff manning the noodle counter can be a bit more friendly Overall, worth for money, excellent location and recommended hotel in Kuching. Would stay here again in the future.

great service ,been upgrade to executive suite room, receptionist is super friendly and nice, attend to customer promptly. breakfast was awesome, a lot choices.

The hotel is located next to Boulevard Shopping Mall with lots of shops, restaurants and food center. Hotel Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but menu should be improved.

Location’s good. The hotel resides above a slightly run down mall— there is a pizzeria and a cafe. There is a well-stocked supermarket just outside ground floor’s lift that closes at around 9pm. There’s also a shopping mall at the opposite of the hotel. Apartment is well-lighted. There’s ample windows for sunlight to shine through in the day. At night, with the warm lamps the apartment feels cozy. Pantry includes light utensils. The sink and refrigerator is big enough. A kettle and a jug was provided but the jug seemed dirty. The shower floor was slimy/oily and we had to wait until the next day for housekeeping. Housekeepers were polite. I did not like my check-in experience; the staff that checked us in took his time in settling his affairs while we stood there waiting for him. Parking costs were also not conveyed properly by another staff— we were only partially informed about parking, which is only free if you park in the basement. The lady that checked us out were pleasant. Overall— good location, cleanliness can be better and service should be improved. For this price point the stay was satisfactory.

My recent stay at the Hilton Hotel Kuching was marked by its exceptional location and some notable features. Firstly, the hotel's strategic location near the waterfront and within walking distance of various attractions, including eateries, souvenir shops, and the famous ”kek lapis Sarawak” outlets, greatly enhanced my stay. This convenience was a definite plus. Upon my arrival at 4:00 pm, I encountered a small setback as the hotel was fully booked, and no rooms were available for check-in. However, the courteous staff at the reception counter promptly addressed the issue. They kindly requested a short wait while a room was prepared for me, and I was offered a welcoming drink at the lobby bar during this time. The lobby itself exuded a pleasant ambiance with ample lighting. I finally checked in at around 5.30 pm. The room I eventually occupied was delightful, offering cleanliness and orderliness. It appeared to have been recently renovated, as there was a faint smell of paint. A suggestion for the hotel could be to introduce pleasant room fragrances to alleviate this issue. The room featured a picturesque view of the Sarawak River, enhancing my experience. The bathroom was also clean and satisfactory. The breakfast options at the hotel were extensive, though I noticed a repetition in the menu during my 4-day stay. On the final day of my stay, I opted to have breakfast at a nearby kopitiam due to this repetition. I hope the hotel can introduce more variety into their breakfast selections. However, there were a few downsides to my stay. The hotel was undergoing renovations, resulting in limited room availability. Additionally, the gym was on the smaller side, and there was no sauna during my stay due to the renovations. Furthermore, only two elevators were operational for guests, which occasionally caused delays. Despite these minor inconveniences, the Hilton Hotel Kuching offers a fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and a courteous staff. Special mentions go to reception staff members Petros and Ivan, who were friendly, and Liz, who was particularly helpful and warm during breakfast service.

Comfort stay! Damai Beach Resort is a perfect place to stay in Kuching. It is close to the center and facilities around, beach and shopping nearby. The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varieties. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. On my next stays, I will definitely check into Hotel Damai again. The price performance ratio is very good.” Friendly staff, good guestroom, clean & unique.

We booked this hotel because of it's close proximity to the Sarawak General Hospital - a relative had a serious medical emergency, which meant alot of uncertainty and long waiting hours for us. Having a base at the Regatta Suites meant that we could be within walking distance to the hospital, but were still able to rest in comfort at the hotel while waiting for news from the hospital. The Regatta Suites is thoroughly and thoughtfully appointed - little things like the built in USB charging points made a huge difference for us indeed. The beds were big and comfortable with spotless fresh linen. The AC worked like a charm, even during the blazing hot afternoon. The staff were also very accommodating - they promptly and cheerfully brought up a set of fresh towels for us when we returned to our room after midnight. Even though we are from Kuching, we stayed for about 4 or 5 nights at the Regatta Suites, and it made a real difference to be able to be so close to the hospital during the critical moments. The superior room with city view is comfortable and cosy with a spacious work zone. The in-room wired internet access is indeed convenient for business travellers. There's a sofa and a coffee table with a big LCD TV that you can unwind and entertain yourself. The only shortcoming probably is the toiletries amenities provided pretty limited. Only two pieces of soap were provided for the superior room. My room comes with a buffet breakfast but I overslept and missed it. The room pictures that I posted is a junior suite room from my previous stay which is double the size of a superior room with a separate living and dining area. The hotel used to serve very tasty Nasi Lemak but sadly to say that it's no longer the same anymore after a few decades.

This hotel is comfort because it cleans, fast service and nearby the mini mart. Just in case you need something, it’s easy to find. More over this hotel also located in the middle of the town so easy to go to Mall or whatever.

A service that you wouldn’t be able to imagine. This apartment would be the last resort you would want to choose in Kuching. If it wasn’t because of imperial hotel that was fully book during my time of stay i wouldn’t be choosing this apartment ever and also because due to my lack of research of other hotels as well I was actually looking for a hotel with swimming pool for kids to enjoy and spend their time with. Other hotel was way too expensive for only 2 nights stay.. However, this complaint is truly just on their service provided. Not on the facilities.. It is fully because they have the worst real estate agent to manage these service apartments. LUCO VISION SDN BHD (agent name: Lily).. First asking for RM200 deposit which I totally understand but later ask for RM30.80 “Service Charged” even after I fully paid my fee through Agoda. When I ask for explanation on what kind of service charged is charge, but they couldn’t explain further none other than just mentioning “this is management T&C”. Thereafter I call Agoda for further explanation on this service charged and it come to my surprised that even Agoda were not aware of such servicing fee being charged on client. How funny is that? Later then the agent say i must pay no matter what if i wish to continue my stay, i mean i have already fully paid to Agoda on my stay of RM494.60. And so called service fee that is chargeable, they can’t even explain it. By the way if you are curious why m i so furious on this service charged is because they can’t even give a brief explanation to what service charge m i paying, everything here is self check in and they have laundry machine in the apartment but it was lock because i have to pay extra to use it and worst still there’s no drinking water provided. Least of it, when i complaint to them through WhatsApp and demanded to have a number to call, agent refused to give a number. Stating that i can only contact them through WhatsApp. What kind of service is that?? I can’t even ask for a number or have a person to talk about on this issue?? So yeah, not to even mention when i ask for early check in of 30 minutes and they say it is also chargeable at an amount of RM150.00.. in addition to that there’s literally no front desk at the lobby and we can’t even go anywhere else because our luggage would eventually be unattended.. everything here is charges charges charges.. I really don’t like wasting my time giving complaint through online platform but this kind of service from these real estate agent or so called properties agent really giving me difficult sleeping time and future guest should deserve to know this kind of service from these people. I am not the only person giving complaint on Imperial Apartment already. I have live apartment at Penang and other places, their services was way more better than i could better explain in words.
