Damai Beach Resort

Please be careful if you are driving and parking overnight because my car has been scratched and asked for cctv record they insisted say the cctv didn’t not cover the car park area and they won’t take the responsibility. I had requested the cctv record to see it is really not covered the car park area but they just refused and said there is a signboard telling that PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK. Now I have to bear the cost to repair my vehicle. I was not asking for claim but just wanted to check the cctv record. Bad service, please be careful.

I had a very nice experience. The room was spacious but not very modern. The hotels has two swimming pools. The one on the hillside is very nice. Breakfast was nice.

Pros: The beach is great and the mountain view from the resort is beautiful, so the environment is good. Location is near the cultural village and hiking trails, as well as Santubong village. Maintenance, security, housekeeping staff are friendly (reception less so). Cons: Too many. At the beginning: the sink is clogged (maintenance was sent to fix it subsequently), the toilet is very noisy (only fixable by turning off the water valve), dirt marks on blanket, bathtub was slightly clogged as well. In the middle of the stay, the key card did not work and we had to go back to reception to fix it. Breakfast buffet was very underwhelming throughout, the only saving grace was the live stations for omelette and laksa. Overall, the bad reviews were right and the cons far outweigh the pros. Will stay elsewhere if we ever come back to the Santubong area.

Overall is still consider OK. Actually the environment is quite good. Just that some equipment and room facilities, if can upgrade and furnish some will be better. The beach & pool has no safe guard on duty, it will be more safety if got someone to guard and patrol around.

Great stay with a very large and comfortable room that made a great trip. The beach was extremely clean and the views were great as well. Overall a very compelling service provided and worth the stay

Located at beach site, and provide different meal option for dinner, yet with pub open until lated serving alkoho, and with karaoke.

Good for a little weekend getaway, peaceful and quite environment to chill and enjoy the weekend with family or partner. Nice to chill around the pool and the bar. Breakfast is good.
