Located near city center. Easy access to water front and Plaza Merdeka. Opposite the Borneo Museum.

Amazing reception, but do not be fooled by this. Our 3 bedroom apartment was filthy so much so we felt we couldn’t walk around without shoes on. When you had a shower you came out feeling dirtier than when you went in. The whole apartment smelt like mould and it was very apparent the apartment hadn’t been properly cleaned in some time. The bed sheets and towels were stained and it made us feel very uncomfortable sleeping in a bed with stained sheets, not to forget the hairs we found. Our en-suite shower was unusable as there was no shower screen or curtain. The shower we did use was covered in mould and made you gag. The carpet throughout was stained and the fixtures and fittings were incredibly dated. We couldn’t see outside on floor 16 as the windows were so dirty. No way is this a 4 star hotel. If I was to leave some positive feedback, the reception staff were nice. Thank goodness we only stayed one night!

Its an old hotel. The receptionist is very good and polite. When enter the hotel room, the smell of the carpet is terrible. Cant stand with toilet, very dirty, seems like the cleaner not even clean the floor and wall. We stay for 4 days, everyday i request for drinking water, the house keeping said they dont have stock, so we only get two bottles throughout our 4 days stay in this hotel. There is no fridge in this hotel room, but it is ok with the price offered. No room cleaning thorough out my stay, so i’ve to put the dustbin outside the room for them to collect the rubbish. No hot water in the bathroom until the weekend, the last day of our stay only the hot water was working.

It is an old grand style but too old for a new era as today ….Excellent location though but cleanliness is obviously a thumb down. Badly needs refurbishing.

The location is fabulous. Disappointed as swimming pool was closed and we were not informed before we arrived. Did not have breakfast at the hotel as what was on offer did not appear to be good value. We actually didn't see anyone having breakfast. If this hotel was upgraded, it would be an amazing hotel to stay in. Absolutely brilliant location. We were moved room to room a few times until we found one that was fine. The gem of this hotel, without any doubt, is the staff. Kind, smiling, friendly, very helpful. They are the reason we would book again and they are the reason we extended our stay by another 3 days. The hotel is also 2 minute walk to the excellent Borneo Cultures Museum. I do not have photos of the hotel itself so I have posted photos of the view from our hotel room

The hotel shows its age, but overall it is still well-maintained and perfectly acceptable for the price point. While the design and furnishings feel a little dated, everything was generally clean and in working order, making it a practical and comfortable stay rather than a luxurious one. On the positive side, the location is definitely a strong advantage the hotel is conveniently close to a mall and several attractions, making it easy to get around and find food or entertainment. Overall, it’s a decent, budget-friendly option if you value location and practicality over modern facilities. I stay at 1601 room with very nice panoramic view of waterfront Kuching. Kindly clean up the window, with this view, I feel my stay is worth with price I stay.

The pictures speak for itself. Dated and non hygienic. We came prepared with sleeping bags and slippers for the shower. But the bedbug situation is not acceptable. We are group of 7 staying in different room types. My family got a two bedroom suite apartment on 13th floor. These are the photos shown. For other family members they got the twin room (3rd floor) and there was no fridge. We were told last year there was fridge in twin room type. It seems like they are cutting out a lot of amenities. Shower stands are filthy dirty, bathtubs and shower curtains with molds everywhere. Bedsheets are old and grey. Windows are all dirty with stains (for years I am sure). Moss is over the exterior of the building. DO NOT TRUST any of the 10/10 reviews.
