This was a lovely hostel, the owner was so friendly and the place was decorated very cutely. It was a 10 minute walk from the station and the castle.

Cozy and clean hostel with a good location but the walls are very thin so you hear everything. You also need to rent towels or other amenities. Owner is very nice. I find absurd that the check out time is at 10am and check in at 16.

I'd call this a must-stay hostel in Kumamoto. I highly recommend renting out a private room (it's like having your own mini-room, which is awesome).

I was a bit skeptical about all the comments mentioning it was like a Miyazaki castle and magical etc because the pictures didn't really showed that. But it is because photos don't truly show it .. but the atmosphere exists! Miki's place is full of details, it's art, but not only, it's sharp, it's cute, fun, sometimes critical, it makes you wonder, wander, think, want to touch and explore. There's music, there's vintage technological, there's hidden corners. The single rooms are the most searched for. But the dorms reeeeaallly need a chance. I stayed in a small dorm with only two beds. With an incredibly comfy sofa and an aquarium with a doll lucky fish surrounded by prosperity "diamonds ". At the entrance also there was a samurai suit, guarding my sleep. The windows have paper coverings with Sakura patterns. The water pressure in the shower is so good that I thought I was in a waterfall! The other dorm is bigger with two super comfy swinging chairs. One whole day I just stayed in. And was soo good! So I recommend to come with time to enjoy and give the necessary attention and care it deserves.

It was the most impressive accommodation to rest and live in this trip for me. The price is reasonable. Staff/ owner is very helpful and kind. She introduced me about her own place even I arrived hostel quite late. Her decoration and facility is superb. The kitchen has a lot of stuffs that traveler will be need. It feels like living at home but in the hostel. Location is good to locate near the tram. Also, common room, roof top, the bathroom are nice to rest. The private room (bedroom) is not too small - too big but it was very cozy to stay and manage your stuffs. I can do a little morning stretching in there. Love it! highly recommended for girls and other travellers 💗

it was a very cute place!! the owner seemed like she loved the place very much, and was decorated very nicely. it’s a women’s only hostel, so i was glad that i was born a woman. i got one of the rooms - very clean, and the shred kitchen was nicely decorated. you can see the castle on the rooftop.

This place is like a museum! I imagine it’s a dream come true for many. Love the shower!

Good location and clean

This is an adorable girls' dormitory with a very thoughtful design and decor! I love it! The staff are also incredibly friendly; they explained all the facilities to me in detail, and they were truly dedicated! I highly recommend it to all girls visiting Kumamoto!

The whole house and the owner are like something out of a fairy tale!! Maximalists would be thrilled to stay here. The owner's guesthouse is truly like a mini-museum; ten photos wouldn't be enough to capture all the surprises and ingenious touches hidden inside. It's a bit of a shame I didn't get to see the night view from the rooftop; it was so cold the day I checked in 😭. I chose a single room, but it was perfectly adequate for solo travel! The blankets were very soft and comfortable, and the room size was just right. It's very close to the Sakuracho shopping district! I haven't stayed in many guesthouses, but this one truly showed genuine care and attention! I would recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Kumamoto 🥰

The room was a traditional Japanese style, and the owner patiently explained the room and its facilities. The interior was very cozy, like a fairytale world. 🥹🥹
