Lakesong Resort

Lakesong kumarakom is a wonderful place to relax, it offers a serene view of the backwaters of kerala. Staff and managers are accommodating and friendly. Food options offers both western and indian cuisine that also works for kids palate. They offer free sunset boat rides that we really enjoyed during our stay. They have their ayurveda clinic that offers a variety of options and have affordable prices. They also offer free canoeing around the resort and free catch and release fishing experience which is nice. We greatly appreciate Mr Arun for a warm welcome and all the staff for making our stay a wonderful experience.

Given 2 stars, as I had to compare against other hotels on our trip. We felt that the staff weren't motivated, so were not as friendly as other places. We didn’t feel the breakfasts were of a high standard, so we ventured out to eat elsewhere. The hotel seemed to focus on the grounds more, which in fact are absolutely beautiful. However, it needs to be only part of the package. Otherwise, it would be a goldmine!

I stayed at this beautiful resort on 11 January and had booked 2 rooms for my family for 5 adults and 2 toddlers and we had a fantastic experience, the rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are just the right size only the shower cubicle which is a tad small for people with large built. Right from welcoming to the breakfast the staff was simply amazing especially the restaurant staff who understood the order well and the local kerala delicacies were excellent. This place has a serene view of the backwaters, nice backwater facing restaurant and big lawns and a small play area for the kids to play, in the pictures the property might look old but it is really well maintained. We could experience the spa as all the slots were booked to the capacity. Only a small feedback to the hotel staff, there is a bridge near the boat jetty and a few railings from the same are missing which I feel is a safety hazard for the kids. The sunset from this resort is beautiful, you can sit on the benches and kill hours Thank you for taking care of us and we will be back soon !!!

We had a pleasant stay at Lakesong Resort, Kumarakom. The rooms were excellent—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The service also deserves special mention; the staff were courteous, responsive, and made sure our stay was smooth and enjoyable. However, the food was below average and did not meet the expectations set by the quality of the rooms and service. There is definite room for improvement in terms of taste, variety, and overall dining experience. Overall, Lakesong Resort is a great place to stay for comfort and service, but improving the food quality would make the experience truly exceptional.

We booked the whole of Lake Song Resort for 3 days in Nov-25 to conduct my daughter's wedding there. We chose Lake Song over other resorts after earlier stays and also attending some events there previously. We had a very good experience at & with Lake Song, throughout our planning stages and right through our Wedding Events over the week including the 3 full days. The onsite manager and his team were very helpful and supporting. The Cochin office management were very prompt, responsive and helpful too. The resort itself is very beautiful, well maintained; the buildings have a good traditional feel to it, the food is very good and the staff very efficient and courteous. The canals, grounds, pool and other facilities are well maintained. The Lake Song site manager and his team worked well with our wedding Event Management company to make all our requirements, including putting up tents, lighting, decorations, tables layout, bar and food set-up, etc., both indoors and outdoors, happen without a hitch or any delay; in spite of changing weather conditions at the time. As we live overseas, we had a large number of overseas guests over the 3 days, mainly from Australia, UK and the US - - all of them enjoyed themselves thoroughly and were very appreciative of this resort that we had chosen for the wedding and for them to stay in. Our local Indian guests from Kerala, Bangalore, Coimbatore, etc., also had similar good comments about the place giving us overall satisfaction that we had pleased out guests. I whole-heartedly reccomend Lake Song as a great place to either just stay and relax or to conducts large group events in the Kumarakon area.

The hotel setting, gardens and staff are all excellent. The rooms are the main drawback, and need modernization. For the price it is fine for a short stay.

Spent 2 nights at the Resort. Outside atmosphere beautiful though not brightly lit. Arrived at lunch so had lunch in their only restaurant. Very disappointing. Asked for non spicy but served spicy food. All other meals in surrounding resorts. Staff also require more training in customer service. Rooms were ok but my room did not have any hot water throughout my stay. . They offered to change the room but that was inconvenient. My friends toilet after a bath got flooded. Carom board in gym not in good condition. Nobody in gym to help till we nearly finished the game. No fan or ac. One plus point was the free shikara ride which was supposed to see the sunset but only went in the morning.

Wonderful location beside Lake Vembanad which made the resort feel very special. The resort has a really good restaurant,swimming pool and sort of a gym?. They have daily evening cruises on the lake which we experienced and enjoyed (no charge). Also free of charge bikes and a small boat which can only be used in the grounds of the resort. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A short stay is good if you just want rest and relaxation

We had a great experience @ lakesong. Canal view landscape is mesmerising. Dipin was greatly resourceful. I'd recommend this amazing place.
