Xinhua International Holiday Hotel

The service and facilities don't match the hotel's location and surroundings. The hotel resembles a low-end resort, with several three-story buildings surrounding a lake. I checked in at Yitianyuan, and I booked two rooms across the lake from the front desk. After checking in late at night, I had to haul my luggage halfway around the lake. Traveling with my elderly parents and children, I was assigned to two different buildings. It was incredibly frustrating. The front desk was friendly, but offered no resolution. When I asked if they could coordinate, they told me they were fully booked or I'd be offered a lower-class room. Worst of all, the room assigned to the elderly didn't have an elevator!!! They hadn't even informed me of the lack of an elevator during check-in. After arriving at my room, I called again to ask if they could coordinate, and they told me they were fully booked. So, we ended up switching rooms again late at night, dragging our luggage. We had breakfast once and then ordered takeout; it was simple and unremarkable. When checking out, my child lost their room card or forgot it in the room. The front desk clerk said they would charge 50 yuan or ask me to find it myself. This is absolutely incomprehensible. A card that costs only a few cents, yet they charged 50 yuan. The receptionist rolled her eyes impatiently and said that this is our hotel policy. We've made it cheaper now. We used to charge 100 yuan. The entire time, the receptionist kept rolling her eyes and writing something on her hand, looking extremely impatient. Her implication was that if you don't give me the card as a deposit, I won't give it to you. I said I wanted to complain about this unreasonable policy, and the receptionist glanced up from his busy schedule and said I could go... The good thing is that the hotel has a small lake with a nice environment and a few peacocks, which is perfect for morning walks and jogs. The Haigeng Dam is a 10-minute walk away, and it's also convenient for food and takeout. The staff were very proactive in cleaning and had a good attitude. The service was truly poor, and it doesn't match the great environment and location. If you're traveling with children or elderly people and want a comfortable stay, avoid this hotel.

The room was clean and tidy. Booking a lake view room was a pleasant surprise. The 3rd floor was better! I will come again next time. Unfortunately, the restaurant is only for group meals. Individual meals for 2-3 people can only be eaten outside, which takes about 5-10 minutes to walk.

This is my second time here. It was off-season during the May Day holiday!! I got an unexpected room upgrade. When I woke up in the morning and looked out the window, I wanted to stay in this place forever😭😭😭 It is very close to Dianchi Lake and can be reached by foot. The sanitation is also very clean. The yard is very quiet. Most of them are three-story single-family houses. The hotel is very quiet and seems to be inside a sanatorium. Overall, it's nice and the rooms are clean, but the accommodation is a bit scattered. There is no car charging facilities in the courtyard. Although there are several DC charging stations, two were broken when we visited, and the only remaining one was offline and unable to charge.
