Kunming Jinjiang Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel for holiday in Kunming , and while the variety of restaurants, especially the Shanghai cuisine, was impressive, overall experience was marred by a major issue - the air conditioning in my room wasn't functioning properly. To make matters worse, the temperature is centrally controlled ,so i had no way to adjust it. The room was unbearably hot, with the temperature reading 24.5 degrees Celsius. It was a disappointment, especially considering it was a special occasion. Hopefully, the hotel will address this issue to ensure a more comfortable stay for future guests."

The location of the hotel is near Kunming Station for High Speed Rail. The hotel is old, and the cleanliness can be improved. The room has second-hand cigarette smells, which made the stay not as comfortable. Air conditioning also not working well.

We checked at 4am in the morning as we caught the red eye flight and were able to check in easily. Short stay but the hotel was great as it was close to the Kunming train station - less than 5 minutes walk. There were also other eateries nearby for our breakfast before our train to Dali

The bed was too firm, we had difficulty to sleep on the firm bed. Location was good. Breakfast was average.

The water flow control dropped out and the water couldn’t be controlled. CB The cistern at the toilet bowl also malfunctioned. Cannot flush. Needed to try many many times before it somehow started working again. Very poor quality bathroom fittings
