It is not that ex, It's worth every penny you spend I feel
there is a mini gym, washing machine and dryer x2 each. rooftop canteen and bar, and mini pool. u can have a damn nice view of this city, esp during the sunset period over the bar or pool area.
The hotel do supply breakfast which includes local food, Chinese food, and western diet, salad, fruits, desert, milk, coffee machine.
the TV also can change to English which is very friendly to all foreigners
if no idea which hotel u want to stay, do try this !!!

We really like this hotel, excellent hotel & excellent staffs. the staffs were really helpful, and very nice. They gave free upgrades to our room. They allowed us to keep our luggages after check out because our flight is at night and rewarded us with late check out. The location is very convenient located downtown near shopping malls & lots of halal restaurants for muslim. The metro station is just outside the hotel. The room itself was really clean and well-maintained. Definitely will stay here again in future. I’ve already recommended this hotel to my friend on my Instagram!

Love everything about Mengjing Xiyue Hotel .The room was incredibly cozy & clean. There was even phone cables provided in the room. All the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. There were several
choices of breakfast to select from. Healthy night sweet soups were served and delivered to room from 8pm onwards. Hotel also gave a little gift when we checked out. It was not easy to locate the hotel initially as it is somewhat hidden but once you know its location, the hotel is really convenient. There are shopping malls & food street nearby. Look forward to returning in the future.

This hotel--Mengjing Wangyue Courtyard Hotel (Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street Jinma Bijifang Branch)--is situated among charming Chinese heritage sites, with traditional Chinese-style buildings surrounding it, including statues at the entrance that add to its cultural appeal. Although the reception advertises English-speaking staff, only the female manager (based on my observation) is quite fluent; other staff members have limited English skills but are friendly and polite. The breakfast offers a good variety and is delicious, and the room facilities are decent and satisfactory. However, travellers from Southeast Asia should note that bidets are not provided.
Overall, this cultural hotel is a 10/10—definitely worth a visit, especially for its fantastic location. Any minor drawbacks are easily outweighed by the excellent service and quality offered.

The hotel is well located and allowed us to make our way within 10 mins to the Kunming train station. However we find the bed too firm for us. Didn't have breakfast at the restaurant but staff accommodated our request to pack some food for our trip early morning out of Kunming. Napping street and old Kunming old street are worth a visit. We had walked from Wen Lin street through the Jade lake to the old street. I highly recommend this walk, lovely!

booked this hotel last minute as the previous hotel was not up to standard. 欣怡 was amazing. what a thoughtful staff. novotel ought to promote her. she kindly showed us the way to the convenient store and introduced a lot of nice places for us to visit and to have our meals. you can tell that she’s not the pretentious type but someone that puts her heart and soul into what she does/enjoys. // this is one of the best novotel hotel i’ve stayed. room is SO clean. they even have kids bedroom slippers and toothbrush. everything was thoughtfully planned out. nice shower system as well. they have dyson too haha

AAnonymous UserWe booked two rooms for our birthday month family trip. First of all, the location is great. My purpose is to get glasses + transit. It has a corridor to Hang Lung, and the goal of getting glasses is achieved. It is near Dongfeng Square and Tangzi Lane. It is very suitable for going to the high-speed rail station 🚄 or the airport ✈. The hotel staff will give directions. I thought this was a normal service, but when I arrived in Zhangjiajie, no one gave me directions, even told me how to locate. I found it precious. I came to give a good review today. Thank you for the unknown brother who helped with the luggage and directions (sorry, I didn’t see the name clearly). I had a good first impression of the store because he took the initiative to help with the luggage and brought my bag upstairs when I ate, so I didn’t have to carry the bag. Good review. It is indeed the basic service that a hotel should have, but after Guangzhou 🌰 and a hotel with a name starting with w in Chongqing did not help me with my luggage, I realized that this service should be available, but it depends on fate (I will not stay again if I don’t help with my luggage)
Ctrip called to book a restaurant and said that they would help me transfer to the buffet restaurant, but they hung up halfway. When I arrived at the site, I found that my seat was not reserved, but I finally got a seat 💺. I got all the food delivered by the buffet. I am also confused as to why some people in the comment area did not get it. I don’t know if the seafood is delicious 🤷. The grilled lamb kebabs, pudding, and ice cream I ate were ok. Unfortunately, I didn’t have room for soufflé (I am not picky about food). I was very satisfied with the roast duck slices in the Chinese restaurant. I can eat pure meat. There were few people and few dishes. I can only say that the hygiene is good (I was troubled by this point when I went to Zhangjiajie for dinner. There were bugs in the heated candlesticks. I have never seen such a thing). The restaurant does not charge for paper towels. I used to think that they were all the same (I have visited 10 or 20 cities and have never encountered a place that charges). The paper towels are in beautiful boxes or hung on the wall. It was not until I went to a restaurant in Zhangjiajie that I found out that paper towels are charged (blame me for my lack of knowledge). It was common before, but now I have to give a good review. And I did not get sick after eating hotel meals, and there was no spicy food (I got sick after eating three pots in one meal).
I chose this brand for the first time. In addition to the geographical location, another reason was that the sesame flowers and the lobby mentioned by netizens were really beautiful (more beautiful than the Brass Hotel in Beijing). The sesame flowers bloom higher and higher, which has a good meaning. I accidentally saw that the decoration on the washbasin was an animal climbing up. Does it mean climbing up? There are water and trees at the door. I personally think that if there is no water and trees at the door, I will get sick😷 so the reason for choosing +1
I like open space (I will get sick in cramped space😷 in Beijing, my brain is exhausted🧠, I plan to travel on a budget, I stayed in a 20 square meter store in Tiantongyuan and fell ill, and later changed to a 100+ store in Wangfujing before my health improved. I don’t want to experience a budget travel), the design of the sliding door is very clever, dividing the space, and the two colors of the wall are easy to identify. The slippers are neither good nor bad, and the bathrobe is neither good nor bad, just the normal level (the slippers of Juneyao Airlines are thicker). The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all brands that I would buy, which makes me like them (I will die on the spot if I see L'Occitane again, I don’t like L'Occitane, so I try to choose chain stores, but some places don’t have them, I’m angry). I also like drinking water. GGuest UserVery suitable for parent-child families, the children's play area in the hotel is clean and rich. The constant temperature pool makes the children's holiday happy. The children's exclusive toiletries are thoughtfully prepared. There are both Chinese and Western meals, and the hygiene is visible, and the taste is suitable for all ages. The hotel environment is beautiful and quiet, and the surrounding forest trails are a good place for a walk. The fast-paced city life is fully relaxed here.

Also very close to railway station, which was just around 10 minutes of walk. Many food options, supermarket, 7/11, pharmacies nearby. The room was very clean, spacious, extra warm blanket was also available, the city view room was epic, amenities were good, I have zero complain. Thanks to the staffs who made my stay pleasant.

GGuest UserWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

GGuest UserLocation was great that it was a walk away from the Kunming Railway Station where I needed to be to leave the city. I liked how it was near a lot of food places! The volunteer Evens was an interesting person to talk to when I learned about his background in what he does as an occupation and where he is originally from in China. The owner Winni was a nice person as well and I appreciated and enjoy her and some of the other guests that cooked for us the night that we had a big dinner. Thank you for being part of the chef crew Winni. Everybody who stayed at the place was respectful and considered towards one another in the way that they conducted themselves. Was able to go along with the rules of this hostel because it fit my daily habits. Nobody had any habits that bothered me.
Not really into the hostel type of stays, due to lack of privacy. Was just happy to stay at this place since it was pretty much right at the doorstep of the Kunming Railway station where I can catch my train on time where I wouldn't end up getting lost in the city which in turn would end up missing it.
The only negative thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom did not have bath towels and just regular hand towels where I would not be able to dry myself very well after showering. Because of this I didn't want to take a shower at this place and the fact that these towels were used repeatedly from other guests, which made me feel uncomfortable wanting to use it. AAlec Muklewicz 穆子德Overall: very good exerpience, particularly as a hostel. Would recommend to others.
Pros:
- Friendly, communicative atmosphere with staff and other guests, essential fot a good hostel
- bilingual service, mostly at front desk but elsewhere too
- regular weekly events
- cheap and convenient postcards for sale in the lobby to send home or have for a keep sake
- rooms have sufficient amenities
- food and drink option variety and affordability
- excellent location near cuihu (pretty lake district with good food options nearby) and the kunming laojie (old street)
- some basic things like water and convient noodles are sold at fair prices at the front desk
- information about tours and travel available in the lobby
- elevator available to access most rooms, though some stairs will be necessary in the lobby
Cons:
- some of the weekly events didn't seem to occur at all
- cleanliness wasn't perfect: some areas of the cafe have lots of flies and some parts of the room, such as the bathroom, had a bit of grime
- peanuts on a caesar salad? no! (I'm allergic to peanuts and didn't think to ask if they put peanuts on a caesar salad because it just isn't normally done)
- the prepaid breakfast options are too limited. some additional options for what toppings could go in the noodles or what fruit or jam you receive with the western breakfast would help a lot
- quality of some food items are just so so
- occaisionally a little noisy in the rooms (but that's just because a group of kids stayed nearby + it's a hostel so it's almost to be expected)

The rooms are kept tidy and clean, and they are equipped with amenities such as a TV and air conditioner. Despite any language barriers, the staff is able to communicate effectively through WeChat, which can translate both Chinese-English and English-Chinese. This level of attention to detail and convenience makes the hotel an excellent choice for travelers passing through Changshui Airport.

SSUMINWe are from Lijiang and are going back to Thailand. Stop over at Khun Ming for 1 night, choose a hotel near the walking street, surrounded by shopping areas. Coming to the hotel is easy, you can take the subway from the high-speed rail station, Line 2, Kunming Subway Station, pass 3 stations, change to Line 3 at Dongfeng Square Station, then continue 1 more station, get off at Wuyi Station. Exit this station and find a shopping area. Walk 2-300 meters to the hotel.
There are 2 medium-sized bedrooms, and the bathroom shares a door. It's quite stiff and doesn't move very well.
If you don't think too much about the quality of the room Selecting a location first is still acceptable.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, not far from Nanping Pedestrian Street and Cuihu Park, which is very convenient for my travel. The boss's service attitude is also very good, kind and gentle to others. Great! The bed is also very comfortable to sleep on, and the decoration style is also the type I like. There is a North Railway Station next to it, and there are three subways, which is convenient to go anywhere. I will come to this hotel next time.
