Beautiful property right in the middle of town. Decor is a lovely blend of modernity and elegance while preserving the original building architecture. The rooms are beautiful and the living area downstairs is an oasis of calm. Tea and breakfast were delicious and well presented. Service was friendly and we felt most welcomed by the hosts who walked us all the way to the town gate when we left.

Great hospitality, one of kind breakfast and afternoon tea. Well decorated. This is the top pick in Zhouzhuang.

During our recent stay at this wonderful hotel, we were exceptionally satisfied with every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff who came out to meet us at the scenic area entrance and assisted with our luggage. This level of service set the tone for our entire visit. The hotel's décor is stunning, creating a serene and visually pleasing environment. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, providing a restful haven where we enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. It truly is a fantastic place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful afternoon tea, particularly the grain snacks which were so delicious that we requested the hotel staff to help purchase and courier some to Shanghai for us to bring home. Their willingness to accommodate our request added a special touch to our experience. Breakfast at the hotel was another standout. The porridge, in particular, was so delectable that the hotel kindly gave us a pack of the rice used to prepare it. This gesture was much appreciated and spoke volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and pleasant retreat. If we return to this area, we will undoubtedly choose to stay here again.

Overall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour. The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat. So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process. You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance. I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom. There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers. The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy. When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

Our experience at this hotel could not have been better—it was truly beyond our expectations. The location is perfect, nestled in a historic house with sophisticated decor that exudes charm and elegance. The staff went above and beyond to please us, attending to every detail with care. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious afternoon tea, featuring a homemade tiramisu that was absolutely delightful. The staff is well-prepared to receive foreign guests; Miss Yang, in particular, speaks excellent English and is very kind. Overall, we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and exceptional stay in Zhouzhuang.

If I could give more than 5/5 for this place, I would. Cleanliness, service and cultural vibes are unparalleled. I have been to more than 25 countries and never have I felt so much at home away from home. This is a gem I would highly recommend anyone seeking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The host and her staff gave us home made bread, breakfast, cakes, tea and artisanal coffee. My 12 year old daughter loved it so much she just wanted to stay indoors! Amazing!!

Service: The staff was very attentive and made us feel at home. Cleanliness: Very clean. The tatami room we stayed in was very well-designed. Facilities: A former residence of a famous person, it exudes the warmth of a home. With only three rooms, it's very quiet. Shuyuan Cafe: Coffee and refreshments are free for guests staying at the hotel. The staff was very generous and prepared food and drinks for us whenever we arrived, all freshly made. Their afternoon tea is available to the public, and visitors can enjoy it. It's a wonderful experience for guests staying at the hotel. The breakfast was also very unique. Overall, the experience was excellent. It's definitely worth a try for those who enjoy B&Bs. I'll definitely visit again when I visit Zhouzhuang again.

The delightful journey began with a pick-up at the scenic area entrance. The young man's service was attentive and warm, unlike any other B&Bs I've encountered before. He said, "Think of this place as home, don't be restrained, and tell me what you need to drink." I thought they would provide bottled drinks, but unexpectedly, each one was a work of art, a double enjoyment for both taste and vision. Nice! I was even more surprised that there were only three guest rooms here, yet they had such a professional beverage mixologist. The rooms were very clean, and the furnishings were exquisite, with an antique charm and a sense of style. I can say that I spent the most time in the B&B over the past two days. Every corner of the B&B made you feel like you were traversing the past. After 10 pm, the nearby bar stopped singing, but it didn't affect my rest at all. This is a treasured B&B. I'm lucky to have found it on Ctrip. See you soon. Dear young man, I hope to see you again when I come. The two days spent together were like meeting old friends. I wish you a happy time at the B&B and all the best!
