Stay Inn Koto

It's basically self-service, and most of the guests are Europeans and Americans, but they basically don't disturb each other. The room is just two mattresses on a tatami mat, a small table and a TV. There are many sockets and a three-pronged charging cable, which is very thoughtful. The facilities are given 4.5 because there is no elevator. The guest rooms are on the 2nd to 4th floors. The stairs are very narrow and steep, but this is generally the case with Japanese B&Bs. If you have elderly people or women with large luggage, you should consider it carefully. The advantage is that the kitchen utensils are super complete, with ovens, microwaves, rice cookers, etc. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared on one floor, they are also very clean and tidy. We stayed on the third floor and basically had the kitchen to ourselves. This B&B is very convenient to Fushimi Inari Shrine. There is a Lawson nearby, and 7-Eleven is a bit far to walk. There are no drug stores nearby, but it is still very convenient overall and close to the station.

It was the best guesthouse. I travel a lot, but it's rare to find a place as nice as this. It was clean, and the shared spaces were always kept spotless. The staff were also very kind and warmly welcomed. It's conveniently located near the station and a convenience store. There were even musical instruments (even a koto) available for free use, creating a nice atmosphere. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi was sometimes quite slow when there were a lot of people. The walls are thin, so you might hear people in the next room if they speak loudly, but free earplugs are available at the front desk.

The spacious room is bigger than I thought. There are many restaurants around the hotel. There is also a USB port in the room, which can be charged directly. It is a great hotel. I recommend this hotel when you come to Kyoto.
