Minn Gion is a home away from home in Kyoto! Me & my family soooo love the place. Perfect when travelling with family. Cozy, clean, spacious, quiet, and near the tourist spots around Gion. We’ll certainly choose Minn Gion as our hotel on our future travel to Kyoto.

Location is good, but overnight parking fee nearby hotel is super expensive.

Room is super clean and hotel located right next to a well visited tourist sites. Family mart is right next to the hotel which is most convenient. Subway is well within walking distance. Worth the money and enjoyed our stay.

Check in/out services very convenient, and very spacious room. Very good value for the cost.

Lovely apartment hotel where we can make our own meals. Very new and clean, spacious. Kids slept on the futon on that tatami, adults slept on the beds in the room. Washing machine is helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

My family lives in Tokyo, and we always stay in Kyoto for two days on red days. Although this time it is the May Day peak, the housing prices are still high. But it was the one I was most satisfied with. We stayed as a family of 3 and the sofa switched perfectly to a bed at night. The surprise was the kitchen and tableware, which were very thoughtful. The groceries we bought at the supermarket in Kyoto were exactly the same as those in Tokyo. Therefore, this place is very suitable for families, especially families living in Japan. Another surprise was the antique shop in Gion. I will come again next time.

It is located on Hanami-koji Road in Gion, and is easy to find. Be sure to pay attention to the check-in at the front desk⚠️, it is fully self-service. You cannot check in early, it is only possible at 15 o'clock. It took a lot of time to figure out the check-in: you need to scan the code with your mobile phone camera, fill in the 4-digit password given by the hotel email after the pop-up window appears, and then follow the steps. There is usually only one hotel waiter, but it seems that one person is responsible for cleaning the entire apartment, so he is often not at the front desk. The apartment is very new and clean. The 35-square-meter room has a kitchen for cooking and windows that can be opened for ventilation. During the stay, the room will not be cleaned. If you need to change towels, you can ask the waiter. It is very close to Chion-in, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Takashimaya. There is a fresco nearby where you can buy vegetables and cook. Self-guided tours are recommended.
