Supermarket at doorsteps but train station is far away

When visiting Kyoto, staying in a B&B is a good choice. It would be great if you could stay a few more days to slowly experience the life of Kyoto people. However, as someone who is used to the heating in the north, I was depressed when I first entered the house because of the cold weather in Kyoto, which was similar to the cold in the south of China. Fortunately, the air conditioner was powerful enough for heating. It would be better if the landlord could turn on the air conditioner a while before moving in. Everything else was just as other guests commented, very good. We also experienced cycling, but if you don’t exercise regularly, I suggest you don’t ride too far, it’s really painful~

My friends and I were traveling with our kids. We booked this B&B and that B&B in Toji at the same time. Three families happened to live in two rooms, so the kids could stay together. It's run by the same Chinese. I added WeChat in advance. The service was very attentive and they even helped me make a reservation for the famous local roasted bird restaurant!

The host was very considerate and provided a lot of useful information. It was a great trip. The room is clean and you can make some simple food. I will choose here again next time I come to Kyoto

It was the first time that my husband and I came to Kyoto and we chose this B&B to stay for 5 nights. It felt very good. Warm and familiar Japanese style, located in the middle of Japanese houses, you can truly experience life in Japan. The B&B has convenient transportation. Buses, Kintetsu and Shinkansen are all very convenient to reach various attractions. The host also thoughtfully provided various itinerary and transportation strategies, as well as information on surrounding convenience stores, supermarkets, Chinese dumpling shops, Japanese izakayas, and Japanese food restaurants, all of which are only a few minutes away. Extremely convenient! Next time I come to Kyoto to see cherry blossoms, my husband said he would come to this restaurant again.

The room is really clean, it is very quiet surrounded by residents, the door of each house is uniquely decorated, and there are views everywhere! Because I brought two old people with me, they are not used to Japanese food! I cooked a few meals to let them eat hometown food! The B&B is very convenient to Kiyomizudera Temple. It only takes 3-5 minutes to walk to the station. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Kiyomizudera Temple, Hanamikoji, and other scenic spots! Kyoto is still a place worth staying for a few more days. Personally, I like to travel quietly and slowly. I prefer Kyoto to Tokyo and Osaka!

The facilities in the house are very complete and clean. The Japanese room makes you feel very relaxed You can take a long bath in the bathroom The bedroom is very comfortable and the tatami makes me sleep well. I really feel that staying for one night is not enough There is a supermarket nearby where you can buy some simple food and cook it yourself. We bought a bento and came back to heat it up Then I bought a small meal bag and microwaved it for breakfast the next morning. I spent a day on holiday🤫 I will really come back next time The landlady is a nice person and she also provided us with Kyoto travel guide. A very pleasant stay I will definitely come back to stay in Kyoto in the future. You can take bus 208 to and from Kyoto JR Station Really recommend!

A classic one-family house in a mature local community (small area, steep stairs, not suitable for people with weak legs and feet), just renovated, with a Japanese red maple in the backyard, very exquisite. There are washing machines and various living facilities, but it is best to go to the nearby self-service laundry, which is a 1-minute walk away, to dry clothes. The kitchen can heat food and make pre-made boxed lunches and cold buckwheat noodles sold in nearby supermarkets. We arrived in the evening, and lined up in the waiting area after leaving Kyoto Railway Station to get a taxi. The driver circled the neighborhood several times but couldn't find it because Google Maps positioning was not very accurate and there were many one-way streets. Later, I tried Uber, which was much better than the overseas version of Didi. A few days later, when I played nearby, I got off Kyoto Station, didn't line up in the taxi waiting area, went to the shopping center in the south, opened Uber, and called a taxi directly. The driver drove directly according to the Uber map.

A small Japanese villa with local characteristics, very clean, small but complete. Two of our friends stayed together and slept well on the tatami. We will come again next time.
