Reasonably priced for Arashiyama. I gave it a high rating because they put a lot of effort into the breakfast and I enjoyed it very much. The staff spoke softly in a very kind manner in the morning. On the other hand, the hotel has a simple system that is common these days, such as automatic check-in and self-baggage storage before check-in and after check-out. (The staff seemed to be there all the time.) I felt that this was a contrast to the warm hospitality I received at breakfast. I stayed here in December. At the reception, I was told that it was cold and the room key was difficult to open, and they gave me some tips on how to open it, but when I went to the floor where I was staying, several people were struggling in front of the door. I thought it would be nice to have a service that would accompany me to my room and teach me how to open it during this time of year. Another disappointment was that check-in was at 5pm. I wish we could have checked in a little earlier, even if it was just during the cold winter months. As for the important room, since it is a new hotel, the room and the bathroom were clean (I wish there was a towel rack next to the bathroom), and everything you need was provided. It is better to think of the restaurant business and the hotel business as separate entities here. If you stay, be sure to eat breakfast.
