Hotel Traveltine Kyoto Kiyamachi

The Japanese-style sliding door room was very clean, and the staff's attitude was great. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from a bus stop. We booked this hotel specifically for the Gion Festival, and there are plenty of interesting places to explore nearby. Breakfast is complimentary, but don't expect anything fancy. There's also a convenience store right next door. It was so refreshing to come back to this hotel after a hot summer day of sightseeing – sometimes the air conditioning was almost too cold, haha.

The room was definitely small but it was cheap, offering good value for money. It's located in the Kawaramachi area, right by the Kamo River, and it's about a 15-minute walk to Yasaka Pagoda, which is perfect for an early morning visit to avoid the crowds! They also offer a simple complimentary breakfast. There's a popular soba noodle shop nearby that I visited twice during my stay – it was delicious!

The hotel's location is excellent, offering a tranquil retreat in the heart of Kyoto city, with numerous bus stops nearby.

Very clean and conveniently located for getting around. There's a convenience store downstairs, and the front desk staff are all very friendly. I'll definitely stay here again!
