Me and my husband stayed here as part of our honeymoon adventure. Great location and everything is walkable distance. What made the stay special was Alex, he was a great help and provided us with all info. His customer service was exceptional and made it very lovely for us. Its very nice to speak with a fellow European who speaks fluent Japanese and is able to help customers navigate kyoto. He did a fantastic job- i was surprised that hes not the manager as his communication was exceptional. Bravo! We highly recommend 👌

The entire experience was amazing! We were in room 203. It was enormous with a large bathroom and walk in shower, couch, desk and large closet. It is a small hotel and staff are incredibly attentive - special thanks to Alex and his attentiveness. We had breakfast (western) included but there is an amazing patisserie right next door (where the hotel gets their pastries for breakfast) and had we known that might have elected to just eat there. There is a full bar with lots of Japanese gin and whisky options. It is a convenient three minute walk to Karasuma Oike subway station where Tokai and Karasuma subway lines meet. Lots of great restaurants in the area.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights. We were upgraded to a bigger room for free so it’s a bonus. The location is supreme, it’s closed to a subway station within 5 min walk and it is only 5 min ride from the famous Kyoto station. Lots of restaurants near the hotel. Nishiki market is also close to the hotel. Big shopping centre is also nearby. The Kyoto Culture Museum is also very close. Therefore, you get almost everything around the hotel. The breakfast is Western style and tasty. Staff can speak good English. They serve you with dedication and smiles. The hotel is in the middle of a street so don’t expect any view. The room is clean and tidy. Housekeeping is acceptable albeit sometimes the cleaner might forget minor things. Overall I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Kyoto.
