Hotel M's Plus Shijo Omiya

The hotel is near Omiya Station on the Hankyu line. From Umeda Station, you can take a Hankyu train to Kyoto-Kawaramachi for 410 JPY per person. Be sure to check that the final destination is Kawaramachi, as some trains don't stop at Omiya. We once took a train that terminated at Takatsuki and had to transfer. The hotel's front desk staff speak good English. There's a Lawson, 7-Eleven, a drugstore, and a large supermarket nearby, making shopping convenient. Across from Omiya Station is the Arashiden terminal, where you can take a direct train to Arashiyama for 250 JPY per person.

The hotel is located in Shijo, with a pharmacy, convenience store, and a large Life supermarket all within a 5-minute walk, perfect for a late-night snack run. The sushi from the supermarket was incredibly fresh and tasted almost as good as a dedicated sushi restaurant. The hotel itself was decent and offered great value for money. They even had free Japanese snacks at the entrance. The hotel's location is also super convenient for catching the July Summer Festival.

I was very satisfied. There's a supermarket and two convenience stores downstairs, and what pleasantly surprised me was that the train to Arashiyama is right across the street. The place was very clean, no noise, and the front desk lady was super friendly.

Facilities: Excellent, really well-equipped. Cleanliness: Daily cleaning service, fresh towels, and two bottles of water consistently replenished in the fridge. Environment: Spacious and bright.
