Ryokan Matsukame

Very nice ryokan! It's very close to Kyoto Station, perfect for catching a train. The room has tatami mats, a TV and a refrigerator. It is very clean, quiet, and very Japanese-style. The owner and his wife are also very nice and take good care of us. You can also take a hot bath underneath, which is very comfortable. Come and stay here next time!

In a Japanese-style family hotel, there is no bathroom in the room. There are shared toilets for men and women on the second floor, and shared bathrooms for men and women on the first floor. The sound insulation is poor. You have to leave the hotel at ten in the morning (I booked two nights and had to leave at ten the next day), and you can't come in or out at eleven in the evening. Ctrip should classify this hotel as a B&B youth hostel to prevent customers from mistaking it for a Japanese-style hotel. After all, at a price of more than 1,000 per night, there are many hotels to choose from around Kyoto Station. It was very inconvenient to stay in a hotel during a family trip, so I decided not to stay in the hotel on the second night.
