After buying a bag of things, you can return to the hotel, put them down, and then go out to do some shopping, hahaha You can also go in the direction of Kamogawa, take a walk in Kamogawa, and experience the life of the locals. In short, it is good to live between Sanjo and Sijo. It is convenient for shopping and visiting scenic spots. Walking across the Shijo Bridge, you can go directly to Gion, Yasaka Shrine, and Kiyomizudera Temple. I stayed near Kyoto Station last time. The transportation is convenient, but there is not much to do at night. It is better to live between Sanjo and Shijo. It is convenient for eating and shopping at night.
