This hotel stay was quite bizarre from start to finish. First off, because we booked during maple leaf season, the price was in the four figures, but neither the service nor the facilities met the standards one would expect for that price point or for a 5-star hotel, as some reviews claimed. The hotel's location is actually quite convenient; although it's a bit far out, it's very close to the subway station. However, the check-in experience was terrible. They initially gave us a room on the 3rd floor, and there was a clear sound of running water from the pipes in the bathroom, which the housekeeping staff confirmed. We then asked her to have a maintenance worker check it out, and she agreed. But no one ever came, so we went to the front desk on the first floor to request a room change. While at the front desk, we saw the same housekeeping staff member busy with other things, making us feel like she had forgotten about our issue. After we changed rooms, we discovered that the ventilation system or something similar in the new room was also very noisy. We called housekeeping again to have it checked, but again, they never showed up. We have no idea what the hotel staff were doing; it was very frustrating. We then contacted Ctrip to mediate, and their handling of the situation was very effective, so kudos to the platform. However, I'd strongly advise against staying at this hotel.
