Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sanjo-Karasuma

This will definitely be my top choice next time I visit Kyoto! Having a washer-dryer combo in each room is incredibly convenient. 👍 I could wash clothes before heading out and come back to fluffy, soft, and clean laundry. The coffee in the lobby is also good. During my week-long stay, I enjoyed hotel coffee with bread from a nearby top-rated bakery for breakfast every day. The skincare products provided by the hotel are also excellent, making everything so hassle-free. The hotel is located near Karasuma Oike subway station. Exit 6 is the closest but only has stairs. If you have large luggage, take Exit 3-2, which has an elevator. Staying here feels like a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The hotel entrance faces away from the main road. There are several convenience stores, popular ramen shops, bakeries, and izakayas nearby, which is fantastic! 👍 I'll most likely choose this hotel first next time.

This is a small but beautiful hotel I always stay at when I go to Kyoto. The coffee downstairs is delicious, the hotel lobby is beautifully decorated, it's clean, hygienic, has good soundproofing, and is very convenient for getting around.

Not far from the subway and bus stations, it's about a 3-4 minute walk. A 7-Eleven is also nearby, just a 1-minute walk away. Being able to do laundry and use a microwave in the room is a huge plus!

Room: Very spacious, and the room comes with a washer-dryer combo, which is super convenient – no need to queue for the washing machine in the laundry room anymore. Safety: You need a key card to access the elevators, which feels very secure. Location: Very close to the subway station, with two drugstores nearby, which is very handy. The area is also nice and quiet. Service: Very attentive. I dropped off my luggage at the hotel before check-in, and it was already delivered to my room when I checked in. I'd definitely come back if I have the chance.

This hotel is quite good; we stay here every time we visit Kyoto. The washing machine is an absolute must-have in summer. Although the hotel isn't new, it's very well-maintained. Every time we come back, we're pleasantly surprised by updates – the washing machine and TV have been upgraded, and the room even has a new desk. They've also installed new foot bath tubs in the lobby, which were being renovated during the New Year and are now ready for use.

I didn't expect to find such a great value hotel during my summer trip. The last time I was in Kyoto was in 2023, and for some reason, hotel prices across the city were generally skyrocketing then. This year, the value for money was truly exceptional, and I was very satisfied with everything, especially meeting Mr. Yang, a Chinese staff member, right after checking in! He was incredibly kind and meticulously explained the hotel's facilities to my friend and me. He even had our luggage placed in our room before we returned. Throughout our stay, he was always responsive to our requests, making for a very smooth interaction and leaving us with an excellent impression. With such a great location and service, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. The washing machine in the room was also a high-end model that I'd be hesitant to buy for my own home; it was almost silent in operation. The only downside was that it took a bit long, sometimes up to five hours for a full cycle, though perhaps I wasn't using it correctly. Nevertheless, the clothes came out very soft and clean. My only regret is that there's a Beams store right across from the nearest subway station to the hotel, and I only discovered it as I was about to leave! It's a shame I didn't get to browse there. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Kyoto, and I'll make sure to visit that Beams store. I hope to see Mr. Yang again if I get the chance. Many thanks!
