Mama & Papa are the kindest hosts ever! They made the trip in Japan so much worthwhile! It is one of the best hostels I've stayed in mostly because of Mama & Papa! They really make you feel at home, and you get to experience the whole Japanese culture :)). Lovely! Definitely recommend and will for sure stay with them again when I'm in Kyoto! My best choice that I take this guest house during my travel! Mama and Papa were super nice and all the things in this house was totally Japanese (also very clean and comfortable!!). I’ll come here again when I travel in Kyoto next time ♡

Very good host, warms the heart of the tired traveler. It is a warm experience to chat with friends at night. The host asked me which one is better, "Empresses in the Palace" or "Joy of Life". I laughed to death. Who will recommend it to me next time?

This is a great place with great people! I got a lot of positive emotions from staying here! Of course, you still have to understand that this is a place where you live together with other people, but here it is more of a plus than a minus! The breakfast is delicious, there is an opportunity to give clothes for washing, convenient bus stations are nearby, you can take a bike. Thanks Mama-san and Papa-san for a great time! I will be glad to come back here!

Mama and Baba are both extremely enthusiastic. When Mama takes the initiative to introduce and chat, she will also tell you that if you feel lonely, you can talk to her. In the evening, Mama's daughter has a birthday, and everyone will drink and chat together. The breakfast is extremely rich, and we can eat the only fruit in Japan. Baba will also hand-make postcards for each guest. In a word, it is really great~

I really like this place. I mingled with Mana Baba just a few minutes after I arrived. The only thing I don’t like about Japan is that it’s too quiet and doesn’t talk. But when I get here, it’s like I’m at home. I can open up the conversation box and chat. Dad likes to adjust the atmosphere. They grow tea for us to drink, and my mother makes a very rich breakfast. Unlike other places, we like to sit in the living room and chat as soon as we get home after playing outside for a day. We like it very much. I will stay here again when I come to Kyoto in the future.

A very good B&B, the owners are very welcoming, there is a beautiful courtyard, there are very local restaurants and bathhouses next to it, 100% surprising living experience and travel experience.

The B&B has a very nice atmosphere. It feels like home. Papa and mama provide a lot of help. Mama will help with the laundry and fold it for you. Papa will write a red seal for each guest. The calligraphy and painting are great.

A very, very recommended place. It was my first time to stay in this type of B&B, and it was a very strange experience to chat with people from all over the world at night. The room decoration is also very beautiful, and mama is very welcoming.

It's best. A friendly mama connects people staying at the hotel. You are good at English too. But it's very clean and has everything you need, including a refrigerator. Breakfast is also provided. Papa is also kind. He also drew a caricature. I will go again next time!!!
