Because the reservation was too late, only the 4-bed female dormitory can be booked. The one who arrives at the station at 10 pm, in particular, this can only be reached directly by bus. Take the B205 and B208 at Shichijo Ozenmachi Station. You can definitely reach the hotel within 5 minutes on foot. , I would like to remind you that there are A205, B205, C205 and D205 buses in Kyoto. You must go to B205 or B208 to get on the bus. I was delayed for 30 minutes at Kyoto Station because of this. The bus I took did not have a stop screen. I can only Google, but I still take one more stop. I am very grateful to the proprietress Ma Ma. I walked back and forth four times to pick me up at 10:30 in the evening, because the first time I thought I was in Shichijo Ozenmachi, it turned out to be Mama. I didn't see me in the past, only to find that I was sitting one more stop, but Mama still let me stay where I was and came to pick me up. I arrived at the hotel soon and I saw the cozy lounge area surrounded by books at first sight. It was really amazing. The 235 RMB was very worthwhile. After checking in, Mama’s husband helped me carry the suitcase. On the second floor, Mama showed me the various facilities, and also drew the route map of nearby hot springs, restaurants and attractions. Mama can speak English and some Chinese, and communication is really barrier-free. You can also buy a 600 yen bus here. One day ticket, including breakfast, breakfast is very rich, there are fruits, toast, barbecue, eggs, juice, coffee and milk, self-service. Everything is great, but people with poor sleep should be careful to enter, because it is a Japanese-style room, you know the soundproofing effect!

We arrived to find a charming location. The room however was extremely hot (located on the top floor - the 4th). They told us it was unseasonably warm and should cool down at night. This is a fairly small room with 3 adults. They do not turn on AC until May. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had windows that opened (they told us that they don’t bc of an agreement they have with the house next door). They also didn’t have a fan or even try to find one for us. We wound up leaving the room door open for a while and the bathroom vent actually helped. The first night was pretty miserable but then it was fine. The staff was actually very nice but I would have appreciated some help in obtaining a fan. It was getting late and we couldn’t get to a store to buy one. The room itself was small but had 2 beds then a roll out couch that wasn’t very comfortable. The bathroom itself wasn’t large enough to hold toiletry bags but was otherwise clean and worked well. The location was pretty ideal for us. Near train stations, restaurants, convenience stores and the imperial palace. The breakfast is a great start to the day as well. Simple, fresh and good. The staff gave us a recommendation for a yakatori place and even set up the reservations. It was delicious. When we were waiting for our taxi to leave, it was raining and one of the staff came out and stood next to me with an umbrella. It was very sweet and I was grateful. I think they should think about keeping a couple fans on hand if they aren’t going to allow AC or have windows that open. It’s horrible feeling all gross from travel and then get to the room to feel hot. Due to their kindness and assistance through the rest of the stay I’m giving 4 stars.

A great stay experience. We lived for 8 days, my wife kept saying, how could it be so clean, it was really spotlessly cleaned every day, and then the landlady was a Taiwanese who came to Japan for 37 years, and her daughter and son helped to take care of the house. The homestay has 3 floors, and there seem to be 3-4 bathrooms and toilets. Anyway, it was quite convenient during our stay. 5 minutes next to Kamogawa, running is so cool. . Also, the transportation is very convenient, and it is convenient to go wherever you go. It is only 20 minutes to Kyoto JR. Highly recommended, it is warmer than the hotel, returning every day is like going home and will not feel cold.

In fact, it’s some way away from the subway, but it’s a good walk. It’s not too far. There are still more choices for nearby buses. It's close to Nijo Castle, but we stayed for three nights and haven't visited it. One morning we arrived at the door because we didn't go in because we had to buy a ticket. In fact, it is recommended to take a walk when we have time. Speaking of the hotel, it really feels good. The house is said to be a century-old house. There are two rooms on the first floor, a living room, a dining room, two bathing rooms, two toilets, and the washing is in the corridor, although it is small. , But the space is compact and the planning is very reasonable. By the way, there is a small courtyard, but only one of the rooms can be seen. Just open the door, and it is cool to live in this room. The second floor didn't go up much. It seemed that there were three or four rooms. Because we went in the off-season, the whole hotel was not full, so we did not encounter the noisy situation of walking up the stairs as mentioned in the comments. The air conditioner and heater in the room are very powerful, so I can't sleep on it all night, or it will be too dry. Living here really feels like home. The furniture and decorations that are visited everywhere are very coordinated and comfortable. We buy some snacks and breakfast from the supermarket every night, and we have tea parties in the evening. We make our own bread in the morning and mix it with milk. We must drink more. We have bought several brands of milk on the side, and we recommend Hokkaido and Meiji. We drink it every day for almost the entire trip in Japan. Speaking of small places, the bath water is strong and hot. I forgot the brand of shampoo and shower gel, because I have stayed in several hotels and remembered it, but it is really good, it seems to be orange-flavored and very natural. If you have time, if you have been walking outside for a long time, you can experience a local bathing house, which is a domestic bathhouse. Dianping search is good, just look at the high score and not far away. I went to experience it and encountered very strange things, but it may be very common in the local area. I won't go into details, let's experience it by myself.

The lobby in the introduction photo is on the second floor, but the room is on the ground floor. You have to go outside to get there, which is very inconvenient. There is no TV in the room. There is already a car parked in front of the front room, so self-driving tours basically cannot park it again.
