This constitutes a clear breach of Booking.com’s requirement that all compulsory charges be disclosed upfront and that confirmed reservations be honoured at the price accepted at the time of booking. In effect, this was an unlawful post‑contractual re‑pricing attempt by the property. Rather than accepting responsibility or honouring the confirmed contract, the property attempted to shift liability onto *********** and asserted that a 24‑hour warning message had been sent, a communication I never received. The cancellation was initiated by their revenue department, after which the system auto‑cancelled my reservation without my knowledge or consent. The conduct was misleading, disruptive, and entirely avoidable. Consumers are entitled to transparency, accurate price disclosure, and good‑faith performance of confirmed bookings, not hidden fees, retrospective price adjustments, or blame‑shifting.
