I booked this hotel around two months in advance, expecting a normal, quiet overnight stay. On the evening of our stay, the hotel organized a DJ event next to the pool, directly outside rooms facing the pool. Music was clearly audible from the room and made it impossible to properly rest or sleep. The most disappointing part was the way this was handled. The hotel informed guests about the event only on the morning of the event, when it was already too late to realistically change plans or accommodation. I contacted reception during the event. No alternative room or meaningful solution was offered. The following morning, the hotel offered 15 euros (yes, one-five) as compensation. For me, the issue is not that the hotel occasionally hosts events. The issue is that guests who booked well in advance were given only same-day notice, rooms directly exposed to the event were not proactively relocated, and there was no meaningful solution when the problem was raised. I have stayed at Accor properties before and expected a much better level of guest management from a Novotel. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not choose this property again.
