Lloyds Beach Club Reviews

We stayed at the Lloyd from March 20 to March 23 and were pleased with how it was. A bit dated but that wasn't a disaster! The room was cleaned well by the employees and we can only say that we will book again next time we are in that region. During this time the boulevard is quiet early (only Mondays and Tuesdays, especially the evenings), but the other days are doable during this period.

Location the best review that I highlight of reservation, although cleaning service excellent too !!

An extremely disappointing experience. In no way did this live up to the description on the website. The area in front of the venue is being dug up to build a new esplanade. So the bar and restaurant are closed and there is no access to the beach. It is all surrounded by fencing and the noise and the dust blow into your room. The most frustrating aspect of this ordeal was knowing it has been like this for months and will continue for months. Yet no where is this mentioned in the website descriptions, nor is advice given at the time of booking. The holiday company have badly let us down and I would advice against anyone going for several months.

Oh my what a disappointing experience. We arrived to find the beach in front of the apartments fenced off while the promenade is being replaced. Not the businesses fault but this was not mentioned at the time of the booking. This also meant that the restaurant was out of action. The only blessing on reflection was that because it was a weekend and a public holiday not construction work was going on. So the apartments are very tired and outdated with doors to the balcony not sliding very easily and after hearing all the other doors in other apartments this is a general thing. This brings me on to noise. You can hear everything through the walls from lights being switched on and off to toilet noises. If the walls were any thinner you could see through them which you might as well do as it sounds like your neighbours are in the room with you. Unfortunately for us our neighbours had 2 dogs which they left in the apartment while they went out ! Also the bathrooms as smelly as they were in the 70s which was very much a Spanish thing but we are now in the 21st century for God's sake. Overall a disappointing experience as we were looking forward to relaxing and listening to the sound of the waves not the scrapping of furniture being dragged across floors. Who knows what some people are doing.

Had a lovely stay here in october,everything was spotless and the staff were so helpful and friendly,the beach is literally at your doorstep , and pubs and cafes also at your door,perfect stay here would highly recommend .

We booked two rooms; 206 was nice and quiet with a view over the pool and beach, but the aircon was not very effective. 214 had an excellent beach view and good aircon, but was situated right over the hotel bar, which meant no sleep until after 2am... Location was amazing and staff was friendly.

A really nice stay..room was lovely and the hotel provided an excellent travel cot with mattress and child pillow. A special mention to Andres for being very accomodating with an early check in... nothing was too much trouble. Pool was fabulous and hotel has a perfect location.

We arrived late but communication was good and keys left in a safe for collection.. hotel is literally on the beach... Apartment was great free safe free excellent WiFi and netflix and beach towels... daily cleaning walk in shower both rain shower and ordinary shower complimentary toiletries black out curtains modern air conditioning new fridge microwave and ashtray for balcony we had 2 balconies one with table and chairs other up a spiral staircase with loungers... located near loads of restaurants fab board walk location on beach no pubs as such but if you want to get up and walking the beach is your thing yes.... It is rated 3* so not all the frills like a 24hr reception but when we checked in the receptionist was brilliant for information... It was very relaxed cannot comment on the pool bit small nor sea swimming as it was too early in year and not warm enough and rather windy during our visit the beach clean safe local shops has what you need but this is a very relaxed place not shoppers paradise nor partyville we enjoyed our stay and receptionist was brilliant with information thank you... Taxi transfers 50/65 euro

Just back from three glorious days in La Mata. Stayed here for the second time, for our wedding anniversary, a bottle of Carva on ice was waiting in our apartment. Once again the apartment was spotless, and smelling so fresh. Everyone was so friendly, this will not be out last visit, can't wait to go back.

Amazing location on the beach - we had an ocean view. We were located above the bar and we couldn't hear the music/people after we shut the patio doors - it was super quiet at night! Check-in was great - we received tips on good restaurants, a bakery and good walking options. Two thumbs up!

What a great time we had here, went in October for my birthday. The apartment was spotless. The view amazing. The staff were very friendly. We would definitely go back again. Some great restaurants to choose from,

Just don’t stay here We only stayed for one night, and that was one night too many!! The only good thing is the location right on the beach! The reception welcome was pleasant The rooms are fine, dated, but clean and equipped However, we had a sea view room, and the bar is right underneath! It’s so loud at night. I’m all for nights out but the music sounds like the same beat on a loop, I had to take 2 sleeping tablets to get any sleep, and it was at least 1am before I fell asleep with earphones in. You can also hear your neighbours drag every piece of furniture in their room, and kids running along the walk ways. So to avoid any disappointment, trust this review, and just don’t book that accommodation, unless you want to spend every night in the downstairs bar

Unfassbar miserabel. Das Zimmer war eine Zumutung alles uralt und schmuddelig. Badezimmer aus den 60er mit einer Badewann und Dusch einfach unmöglich. Restaurant und Bar nicht geöffnet dazu gab es vorher keine Info, Bei dem Preis eine Frechheit.

Cet établissement est un vrai scandale ! Pas simplement vieillot mais vieux, tout simplement, avec du mobilier hors d’âge, même à la piscine. De la rouille un peu partout, une literie inconfortable, un canapé recouvert d’une horrible bâche, des communs sales. Et, le coffre fort de la chambre qui est vendu 3€ par jour : quelle mesquinerie ! Mais le pire, c’est la fermeture non signalée du restaurant et du bar de l’établissement. Et les travaux sur la plage, avec des engins lourds de chantier, juste devant notre fenêtre. Du coup, l’emplacement théoriquement excellent devient une horreur ! L’accès à la plage était fermée aussi. Le site internet de l’établissement ne mentionne aucun travaux ni aucune fermeture et met en avant de jolies photos bien mensongères ! Tout cela est bien contraire aux règles du tourisme et mérite une sanction. Je recommande vraiment d’éviter cet établissement.
