Situated within a busy area of La Paz this was the second hotel in this chain that we had stayed at. Quaint layout, with a courtyard at the back including seating. Our room was off this courtyard, but we didn't experience any noise at night. The room was a reasonable size with beautiful decoration of local wallhangings, if only we could have taken one home! There were 2 beds in the room but neither was that large, they were doubles rather than the kingsize we had become used to at other hotels. Bathroom nice, shower only but clean with nice fresh towels presented in a basket and plenty of hot water. TV/ wifi and safe in room but no tea or bottled water provided. The safe wouldn't close and was not fixed during our visit, so we couldn't use it. Heating was a small protable radiator, but left on all the time it was sufficient. Breakfast self service with good choice and eggs fried to order. Also ate in restaurant one evening, the meal was very good (lasagne) with a reasonable wine choice (25US$ per bottle). Reception was helpful and spoke good English, laundry service was offered and charged by weight. there was also a small lounge area off reception which provided free tea, coffee and water 24/7. Nice hotel with good staff.

La Paz was somewhere we were transiting en route to Cuzco and we were ambivalent about visiting the city. Once we arrived at the hotel our whole mindset changed and we loved both the city and the hotel. Its position a few blocks from the Witches Market was fantastic and walking along the street we felt very safe also in the heart of things. The staff were friendly and helpful and the door was locked at night for additional security. The buffet breakfast was generous and varied. Our room was clean and comfortable but was on the back of the hotel which would probably have been quieter

This is the 2nd time I stayed at the Rosario and I love the hotel. The front desk is efficient, professional.and helpful. The hotel is clean, updated and well appointed. Breakfast is yummy, water is warm, bed is comfy. There was a transportation strike the day I was leaving and they informed me so I could get to the airport on time. The street is a bit sketchy at night, so mind what you are carrying and those around you. Hotel is up a hill a bit so you might get winded if walking. My biggest issue and the reduction in stars during this stay was during checkout I had to pay in dollars or by credit card. As a Bolivian (who lives in the US) I was floored that I couldn't pay with a QR debit from my Bolivia bank account or using Bolivianos. I was wondering if it's because the hotel is owned by Peruvians? I was deeply disappointed and in fact discussed with friends who said that's against the law and isn't allowed. I don't get the fact that they are only accepting dollars/euros as payments in Bolivia. Needless to say I'm returning to La Paz and will stay in a hotel that is owned by Bolivians and accepts payment from a Bolivian bank.

We had a 3 night stay and was just thrilled with the standard. Staff every single one of them was courteous and forth coming. Breakfast buffet was great, we just arrived after 3 weeks in Peru and the lift in selection was enormous, warm/hot coffee and drinkable too. If you need to find a hotel then you won’t regret choosing this one.

This was a very nice hotel. It was clean and quite beautiful on the inside. Good location to major attractions and restaurants in La Paz. The staff there was truly amazing. Everyone from the front desk staff, security, bellhops, and food service were very helpful. We had to adjust our travel arrangements at the last minute several times and the front desk staff worked with us to be sure we had somewhere to stay, which we greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend.

Worst reception ever! I arrived late in the day and there was no one to receive me correctly and to provide a minimum amount of information, like the reception number. The hotel pictures look lovely and the room is spacious, although old-fashioned. Not all room facilities work properly. The room was noisy.

Entire Staff, from doorman to breakfast, treated us like royalty. They went above and beyond to make our stay easy and trouble free, from booking our bus to Copacabana to giving us an early breakfast. Comfy beds, nice shower, gorgeous decor. This is a fantastic place to stay in La Paz.

When we arrived at this hotel we found to our surprise and delight that they had put rose petals and a card on our bed as this was a joint birthday trip and our agent in London must have told the staff. Lovely friendly reception staff, helped advise us on restaurants nearby. V good position v near Witches Market. Very cosy hotel decorated with Andean textiles. Highly recommended
