Reviews of Hotel Ghironi

The Hotel has all the necessary comforts required for a business trip. Free parking on premise. Very nice and friendly staff, nearly everybody speeds English, some even German. WiFi ist stable (to me it’s import). Rooms are spacious with a balcony. Front desk even accepted a parcel for me. The hotels restaurant is really nice. They have dinner special that is really nice. Here again the service is really nice. Additional bonus: the hotel is conveniently located to the ship yard. Walk to city center about 15 min.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel, and I found it was so very comfortable and the staff are so very pleasant, the breakfast was so amazing, we did not have any meals while we were there, as I was visiting a very good friend of mine, but the staff will do anything to make you feel like you belong there and you can not fault the room. We stayed on the ground floor which I requested and was granted my request, The stay was amazing and the weather for the 5 days we were there was not the best, but it did change during the days while were there, nice and small hotel and very comfortable. I would recommend anyone who wants to travel to Italy to stay at this hotel... Amazing staff. My rating 5*

We love it. Our room was very clean and comfortable, it had all what we need. Also It has a balcony very beautiful. The staff always smile and helpful. Great location. We had dinner in their restaurant was the best food of our trip. The waiter made us very happy :) The wine of the house is very good. I higher recommend it.

The hotel was really clean and the staff was very friendly :) Also I loved the breakfast buffet, only downside, was that it was missing vegetables, but other than that, I highly recommend the hotel!

We had a very delightful stay, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. Also the staff was friendly and kind, especially Yonis who helped us to plan our trip to the islands. It was a very nice experience and our family enjoyed it. Thanks

We ended up spending more time on the region than expected so booked last minute. Honestly, disappointed. Place is very tired. Our room had one odd piece of artwork. The wall paper was peeling and the paint was mikes by luggage/furniture moving. The shower was surprisingly large compared to other European hotels we’ve been in but it was shabby with missing grout, caulking. Bed was a large double and very comfy but the linen is old as Well as the window treatments which were falling down. A mini-fried with water for purchase was great especially because we couldn’t get the A/C to work correctly and tossed me turned all night. The main thing that saved this review from Being a 1 or 2 stars was the hostess in the hostess in the breakfast room. Incredibly sweet, charming, and helpful. Pleasant and engaging with all the guests. Made us all Cappucinos and chatted about the ships. Multi-lingual we heard at least Italian, English, and French. A few maintenance touches and inexpensive decorations would really make this a treasure. With convenient location, free parking, and awesome staff.

This hotel, which was before it's transformation a carehouse for elderly people, is a very good location, near the harbour, quiet, with a free car park, with rooms with balcony and all the amenities you need. Even if it looks a bit old fashioned in term of furnitures, you have a very good WiFi, flat screen, hairdryer, fridge, smooth and silent A/C, Clean and comfy room. Breakfast is scrumptious, plenty of choices.....The best part is the staff, friendly, smily, helpful, polite, efficient and full of energy....It's not frequent to have the whole combination for a very affordable price...Thanks again and congrats!!!

I don't give two stars because it would be unseemly towards the staff of this facility who deserve 5 stars. During my stay at the Ghironi, from the reception to the restaurant and breakfast staff, they deserve praise for their kindness. Unfortunately the structure is quite dated and as in my room at the limit of safety I found stray wires as an extension to activate a fake minibar placed in a corner. Furniture that saw its best times when Guido Angeli made commercials for the defunct Aiazzone. At least the cleanliness is valid, for work it can be fine if I had brought my company there they would have refused to stay, understandably.

We booked this hotel over the weekend we just spent walking with friends, with the aim of touring part of the Cinque Terre by bike. We found a nice, clean and welcoming environment, a good location not too far from the center of La Spezia, even if seen the weather we were forced to take the car Clean, with excellent buffets in the morning. Very friendly staff both at the entrance and especially at breakfast, fantastic to see that beautiful smile first thing in the morning, it's never a given! Advised.

It has nothing at all of a 4 star hotel! Rather dated. Economy furnishings. Really bad bathroom. Few and very bad towels. Poor breakfast. I would never go back!!!! Only positive note, friendly staff.

Dated hotel, I stayed in a large room but from the 80s. The air conditioner was very noisy to the point that I preferred to keep it off. I preferred to eat at the hotel restaurant but it wasn't a good idea, quite poor.

I'm sorry but I wasn't well. The old room, on the ground floor, in 80s style. The proximity to the reception is a constant rumor even from the staff, who wake up very early in the morning with the breakfast dishes. I will not return

The hotel workers are very friendly and helped us with everything. But the hotel needs a renovation especially in the furniture. The room was huge and so was the bathroom. Everything was clean. It has its own parking. It is a suitable option as a transit hotel. The worst thing was the breakfast, which was not up to what you pay for this hotel.

Hotel close to Porto, we stayed on a higher and more airy floor. The room was very spacious but very old, old furniture, the shower was very bad, very weak, the water had no pressure, it was difficult to take a good shower. There is parking. Friendly and kind staff. The hotel needs renovation and improvement in the rooms. It is not a 4 star hotel as advertised.
