This hotel far exceeded our expectations (not that they were bad). From the ease of booking to the minute we checked out, everything was superb. Any queries before we arrived, where answered by email quickly by Mike the office manager. We had a late flight and arrived after office hours, this wasn’t a problem at all. We were sent an email with clear instructions on how we could get our keys. The rooms are large, bright, very very clean and have more than you need for your stay. The bed is really comfortable, the bathroom was fully tiled with a large powerful walk in shower. We had requested an iron and ironing board as we were attending a wedding while we where there, this was brought to our room within an hour of the request and was with us to use for our 4 day stay. The room has a Nescafé coffee machine, you can also get hot water from this so easy to make tea too. Pods and teabags supplied. The TV has Sky, obviously most channels in Italian but some you are able to change to English. Breakfast was lovely. Buffet style continental breakfast as well as bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. If you want a big plate just ask. It’s an English thing. Mike is an asset to this hotel, any advice or questions, just ask. He organised for us to hire a boat on the lake for the day, found out the bus times for us so we could get to where we needed to get the boat (the buses are an experience in themselves). Nothing is too much trouble for him at all. Thank you for help with everything that made our stay so memorable. Would we go back? Yes in a heartbeat

I was on a Northern Italy Lake Tour with my mom and best friend with 25 other people. This hotel was the second stop of our trip. The travel company selected the hotels, so we were at the mercy of where they put us. If you like rock hard beds, wafer thin pillows, scratchy rough sheets, semi clean rooms, abrasive and rude staff, then this is a place for you! The two stars are for excellent wifi connection and speed and friendly housekeeping staff. This is clearly a very busy hotel. Every time we went through the lobby there were groups checking in. The sign said the air conditioning in the hotel would be on until 10/22, and we checked out before the 22nd and it was never on. Rooms were stuffy and hot. We had to ask about opening the window, which we had to sign a waiver (understandable - there are no screens). Each bed had one very thin pillow. When we asked for 3 more (one for each in the room) the look of dismay and surprise from the person at the front desk was almost comical. The fridge in the room was stocked daily, but never was cold enough to even chill the bottles. We had the same waiter two nights and he was miserable, unfriendly, inattentive and just down right rude. I tried to be friendly to see if it would help - and it didn’t. When asking for directions at the front desk the person seemed annoyed that we asked, was very curt and snotty. Even when looking at other staff they all looked miserable - no one smiled. At least the housekeeping ladies were pleasant and greeted you with good morning and a smile. Not an overly welcoming experience and I couldn’t wait to check out and continue on our trip. If I was to come back, I certainly would not book to stay here.

It is a very clean and pleasant place that can be walked for 10 minutes by train to the center and the employees were very sweet.

It is not often that you find one of those true gems of a hotel. This is one of them. This is the hotel that you will tell people to stay in if they visit the lake Como area. The hotel is right on the lake. You should definitely choose a lake facing room. The scenery is breath taking. The hotel is in a quiet village away from the hectic and chaos of other towns around the lake. Argegno has plenty of excellent places to eat. Argegno is a quant village to explore. There is a ferry stop about 50 metres from the hotel. It is on the bus route. There is parking at the hotel. The rooms are very clean. If you are a four or five star hotel person, don’t let the three stars put you off. I think the three stars are only because there isn’t someone at the front desk during the night, you are given a key to get back into the hotel if you will be out after 10:30pm. This is an ‘oh wow!’ hotel.

Lovely setting on lake Como. Staff was friendly and enjoyed breakfast setting. Easy walk to the Lake and many other very good restraunts. Hotel is located at 4th ferry stop from town of Como. We stayed as part of a Viking Cruise extension Vacation.. As mentioned in a few other reviews that I had read prior to arrival, the sound insulation in room is not the best but gave 5 stars as many more positive aspects to focus on at hotel. A/C worked well! comfortable. Beautiful pool over looking the lake with water access to swim. Had a Spa but did not use these services.

Review for a one day stay from Singaporean who stay 29-30 August 22. Location- hotel ideal location near to ferry . 10-15 min walk to cable car. From como railway station . Go down the stair from the exit of the station. Follow the pedestrian crossing and go down and walk straight into the town . Easy . Hotel: super clean . Air con was super good and cold ! I love it . Room wise size is ok. Ruben was helpful and explain to us what to do for our W day stay . Where to take ferry. Where to take cable car . He was nice and smiling . Food: I did not opt for breakfast as there are many food around . I had twice the gelato for nearby shop. It was good ! Overal. My stay in room 403 was great ! Check in and out was easy . Please stay here. At night I also went to the square juat below and chill out with food .

Stayed here for 2 nights, for the price the room is great, comfortable bed, spacious and clean. Bathroom is fine, the shower is quite small so bear this in mind. Breakfast was great, lots of sweet options like pastries, tarts etc. Location was 5 minutes or less from the train station so very convenient and 5-10 mins from the ticket place to get the ferry to Bellagio. Overall the hotel was perfect for what wanted and great value for the price.

This hotel with only one star must have at least three: a surprise discovery in the hills of Cernobbio. First reaction at arrival: here we come back. A pleasant restaurant, very nice room with air-conditioning, parking around the corner, friendly staff, breakfast is enough. Many locals come here to eat and that says enough. A recommendation ,also for people with children. The village on the lake is just 390 stairs below, a beautiful walk. We recommend this hotel from heart and come back here!
