No breakfast as promised! No access to ice! No shower gel, shampoo or conditioner in dispensers! The smell of dust and other allergens all over the room! Carpet not vacuumed! My husband and I sneezed the whole time we were there! Pool closed! Broken chairs at dining table... We couldn't even sit and eat together at the table! I will never ever stay at this hotel again unless there is absolutely nowhere else to stay! I probably could've gotten a room at the Hilton for the price with a lot more perks and amenities! Sonesta ES Suites this was my 1st stay with you all and I am so very unimpressed!!

On behalf of Bonita Holland, the guest had 3 reservations for 1 night each for February 4, the guest stated that the trim on the door was basically coming off, the locks didn't look faulty, the paint was cracked and peeling off from the bathroom, there was some electrical wiring showing. closet doors were not working.

Do not book with this place. I went against my better judgement and booked anyway, even after reading all of the reviews, and it was a mistake. We booked in January for May 2nd. Paid in advance. They sent an email, 3 hours before check-in, on the day we were flying in and said they had to cancel our reservation because of renovations. 3 days before, I was worrying about the reviews, so I called for some type of assurance that this would not happen. They told me they had our reservation and everything was fine. They said nothing about renovations or a potential cancellation. The moral of the story is they wanted more money and sold our room to someone else full price instead of the discounted "pay ahead" price. I will never book with Sonesta again. Our last minute hotel cost a fortune. Oh, and I booked on their website directly.

Candy was at the front desk....service was great 👍 Gave us towels and whatever we needed. Always greeted with smile and professionalism. Breakfast is great every morning. Never had an attitude . Greatest service!

This HOTEL has the ABSOLUTE worst CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever had to deal with in my life. I paid for my room in advance, I informed the hotel staff that I was going to be a late arrival. I arrived around midnight and the front office was closed. They had a note on the door to call the emergency # listed and someone would help. I called that # over 30 times and no one answered. Me and my kids ended up sleeping in our truck. I tried going to another hotel, but they were booked. THIS HOTEL WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU HOMELESS. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!!!! The staff on Saturday was nice but the person (LaToya) on Sunday was so RUDE/UNPROFESSIONAL I will NEVER book with this property again. So much happened to me it's too much to type but I'm also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Birmingham also. This is not acceptable, and something has to be done.

We stayed here 2021 and it was so nice. This year, it was so bad we didn’t even stay because we felt unsafe. Cigarette burns on furniture, filthy bathroom (mold, hair), broken lights, stained filthy carpets and pool closed, half full of BLACK water!! It has become a flop house for short term renters it appears. Told the front desk about the issues and they said “we know”…that was all!! Horrible!!

Traveler BEWARE! We were in town for a huge baseball tournament. We booked this Sonesta weeks ahead of time so we could have a kitchen and this hotel called me AN HOUR before check-in to tell me they were CANCELLING our reservation because they were sold out. We were left scrambling and paid crazy prices (and kitchen). I wouldn't trust this place with my reservation... that's just an AWFUL way to do business.

The suites were clean & well taken care of but most importantly the excellent customer service from Candy, she has very pleasant attitude, friendly & very helpful. She was great! We will definitely be coming back
