Come here for business, only stay one night, the airport rental car is very convenient, the hotel is very clean, but the surrounding is ridiculous, there are outlets nearby. Nice impression of the hotel

We stayed at this facility last month driving across country. We were greeted with several men sitting on the front curb smoking with cigarette butts littered all over. I went in to check in and the front desk gal was training someone. I was perfectly fine with that (excited that there was a young person wanting to work!). As I waited (not long at all) a gentleman came out of the back and reprimanded both of these ladies in front of me. Embarrassing for all of us. We were given our room and the minute we got in our room we noticed it wasn't very clean. Long dark hair on the bedspread and bathroom vanity. All can be dealt with. When I asked a gentleman employee where the ice machine was he said ”when are you leaving? Oh, the guy will be here tomorrow to fix it” It? By the look of it they haven't been used since covid. I understand when the ice machines were shut down. I get it, most hotels have them back up and running. Don't lie about it. Additionally we did not partake in the breakfast offering. I felt if they didn't have ice, I probably wouldn't want to eat what they offered. So, over all. Not a good experience. We will take another exit next time and stay somewhere else.

The Sleep Inn in O'Fallon is a very expensive place to stay. However, it is not a beautiful spotless place to stay. I stayed there 3 nights 7/15/2022 to 7/18 and it cost me $437.29. The breakfast was good and plenty of it. They are blaming Covid, I guess because their policy is to not clean the rooms unless you asked. The room was just an average motel room that could have used an upgrade, or maybe a good cleaning! The rug was dirty and stained pretty bad, my bed spread had big gross stains, there was dirt all around the edges of the bedroom and the bathroom and to top it off tons of dog hair on the back of the curtain and on the chair in the room. They are way over priced! It appears they treat their dog guests better than the humans that stay there. I stay here a lot but its a problem every time and it goes more and more down hill, blaming a lack of staff.

Highly recommend: • The front desk staff, Holly, was great with check-in. She was attentive in cleaning up the lobby area and pantry area after a large group of guests left. She provided accurate info to Shrnucks’ supermarket, wrote down the address legibly. She handed me keys with my room number and password closed to guard my privacy. She’s always smiling, great customer service. • Love the way they put three big shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in dispenser. And provided a big soap bar and a bigger than average size hand/body lotion bottle. • Easy parking, convenient location. • Electric outlet everywhere in the room and in easy and convenient locations. • In the lobby pantry, plenty of tea and coffee bags, cups, utensil, napkins available. They use recycle paper cups. • The snack/mini market next to the front desk was well organized and fully stocked. • Excellent hot water • Although it’s next to a major highway, the soundproof was good, that provides quietness and great sleeping quality. • Breakfast was full of variety in both hot and cold foods, you name it, they have it. • Like how they place utensils in different places within the pantry, for convenience. Minor issues: • A very small hair found on the pillow close to the headboard on the side near the bathroom. • For breakfast, would be great to place tongs on the plate. This hotel perhaps is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time in meeting and exceeding expectations.

The guy at the desk didn’t speak English. After going back and forth regarding the card I was using, we were finally able to check in. Just to get to the room and realize our AC unit was broken (this was the first day all year it was in the 70’s). As I was on my way out the door to ask for a room change, my fiancée stopped me and asked if we had a bathroom? There was a door in our room but it was locked. We assumed that was the bathroom. So I asked about that too. The guy from before came upstairs to try to unlock the door with no luck. (There was something jammed inside the lock). He told us to wait while he got someone else. The other guy came in (also didn’t speak English) and tried to unlock the door while the first guy blocked our exit from the room. At this point, I wanted a refund and we decided we weren’t staying here. Tons of red flags. I was afraid if they got the bathroom door open, what would we find? I told the first guy we needed our money back and we’re leaving and he questioned me, not letting us leave the room. I eventually pushed through and let my fiancée go first down the stairs to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid. He ran down the stairs, nearly knocking her over, and tried to get us to stay. Now, I’m absolutely terrified. We quickly left the hotel, got in the car and drove home. We ended our trip early and I missed my brother’s birthday the next day because of how shaken up I was. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
