GGuest UserOne of the best stays I've had the pleasure of experiencing! The rooms were tidy, spacious and very nice, with water bottles being brought to you every morning. I loved how comfortable the bed was, and I can't think of anyway how the room could have been better. Additionally the people running the place are some of the loveliest people I've ever met, particularly the owner/person at the front desk, Win. I really enjoyed chatting with Win, and he was one of the most attentive and helpful people I have ever met. He also helped me out with renting a scooter, which made my stay in Koh Lanta even more enjoyable. It was always nice to walk in or out of the hotel, as there was always a group of kids watching tv on the couch, who really created a cozy atmosphere, or the owner was there smiling and asking how your day has been so far. I was there for only 4 nights, but could have easily stayed for many more, and I was sad to leave the place. I really really could not recommend this place enough, and will try to visit it again someday, even to just greet Win.

MMohamed-AliOur stay at Lom La Lanta was absolutely delightful! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While the street noise could be a little noticeable in the late morning, using earplugs ensured we slept very well. The location is very good, with a 7-Eleven just a 5-minute walk away and the beach close by. For exploring the best beaches and attractions in Koh Lanta, we highly recommend renting a motorbike. We rented ours directly from Sada, and her service was outstanding! She offered the best prices and was incredibly friendly and helpful. If you need anything during your stay, just ask Sada. Another highlight of our stay was the super-fast internet. We had 300 Mbps in the reception area and 50 Mbps in our room, which was perfect for workation. Plus, the adorable cats around the hotel made our experience even more enjoyable! We sincerely hope to visit again soon. Thank you, Sada, for your exceptional hospitality!

SSteveyyyp_43We had a fantastic stay at Long Beach Chalet! Our lagoon pavilion room was beautiful and the perfect place to relax. For my girlfriend's birthday, the staff surprised us with a card and decorations in the room, which made her entire day! The resort itself offered a lot. We enjoyed watching the fire dance show on Saturday night, and it was amazing to see hermit crabs scuttling along the beach at sunset. The pool was a great place to chill out and soak up the sun. We also enjoyed renting moterbikes to see what lanta had to offer, as well as visiting the amazing Lanta Animal Welfare charity during our stay. The breakfast buffet was incredible! There was a huge variety of options, including cereals, juices, fruits, breads, and hot meals. Everything was fresh and delicious. However, a word of caution for vegans like myself, or anyone with allergies: the soy milk they offer contains dairy. Please can I requested that the management label ingredients more clearly and offer a non-dairy milk option, as there currently aren't any plant-based milks available. Also the vegan tofu burger should not automatically come with cheese or an egg based mayo. This is not vegan and can cause some confusion. Despite this minor point, we absolutely loved our stay at Long Beach Chalet. The value was fantastic, and the staff were exceptional. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway!

GGuest UserWe spent 11 night here with my husband and 9-year-old son, and we all really loved the place! We stayed at the Pond room, and even had a partly sea view. I highly recommend booking Pond room instead of little cheaper Deluxe room. Pond rooms are all close to the pool and other services, whereas Deluxe rooms can be really high up the hill. We are not afraid of hills or steps, but even for us climbing all the way up felt quite exhausting (we did this once). Good: - The room was always clean and with good amenities. - Nice pool area(s) - Thaiboxing facilities a nice extra - Really good breakfast with anything you can ask for. Cappuccino etc. can be ordered (free). - You can walk (15min?) to nearby beach with many restaurants (you do need some adventurous mindset and a good flash light in the evening, though). You just need to locate the small wooden bridge and ignore the gaps :D - Nice restaurants short drive away (Coco Tango our absolute favorite with stunning view at sunset), drivers always flocking outside the resort gate. - Also some casual restaurants on walking distance and even right across the gate. - The spa was divine (though really, really expensive on Thai standards - one hour massage was something like 50 € with the happy hour discounts 😅) Not so good: - The bed is HARD. I mean _really_ hard. I was really surprised to find the bed to be such poor quality in a five star resort. I was sore the whole stay as it was impossible to sleep nicely. Even though I loved the place, this is the reason I would not return --> So, if someone at the hotel is reading this, please do invest in softer mattresses! (or even soft mattress topper) Good to know: - The monkeys invaded the resort area few days before we left. The staff did their best to keep them out, but still we had few encounters with aggressive monkeys, one of them even flashing teeth and rushing towards our son. I know, we're in the tropics and this could happen, but just to let you know to be cautious. - Some places were a little worn out (e.g. our terrace wooding was partly falling apart), so if you are looking for shiny and new, you might find these small flaws disturbing (we didn't mind). - Prices for food and drink are high (as one can expect in a five star place). - It is quite far away from Saladan, which is good to know if you for example dive (boats leave from Saladan, but dive shops do arrange the transportation, you'll just be the first and the earliest to be picked up) All in all, I do recommend this place, I just hope they would fix the bedding. It was really uncomfortable even on thai standards (we have been staying in much cheaper places with decent mattresses). Luckily there was heavenly spa that helped with the aching muscles 😜

GGuest UserI stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my girlfriend. Firstly the staff on the desk were very welcoming and collected our bags from the door and delivered them to our room. We were given a welcome drink on arrival and the check in process was effortless and very efficient. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The pool and beach were a 2 min walk from our door and the beach restaurant serves excellent food. There were no issues during our stay and I was able to rent a bike from the hotel reception which arrived in 5 mins which was also a very efficient service. After checking out a staff member dropped us to the pier where we continued our journey. Shortly after checking out the manager of the hotel (never got his name) emailed me to say I had managed to leave my €300 camera behind in the room. He rang me to organise how to get the camera back to me and went to the effort of bubble wrapping, and boxing up my camera to be delivered to Koh Phi Phi on the same day and rang me during each stage to keep me in the loop as to where my camera is. Once the camera arrived on the island he rang me to tell me where I was able to collect it. This level of customer service cannot go unrecognised and he asked for nothing in return. I can’t urge travellers enough to stay in this hotel. I will be returning 100%. Thank you very much Lanta Staff & Manager!

AAnonymous UserUnfortunately the stay was a little bit tainted by the lack of sleep- we had a room facing the road and were awoken by the hotel security alarm every night between 1-3am. It seemed a dog was setting off the alarm but it was just a bit disappointing that it wasn’t til our 5th night of being woken up that they turned off the alarm Room- overall the room was kept quite clean, and was fairly basic and maybe not as modern as other places. Shower was ok but the temperature was hard to stay constant and kept burning hot Location- on long beach the location was excellent, close to many other restaurants and bars and most people rent bikes to get around this island which I felt safe doing from the hotel Facilities- pool is excellent, beautiful infinity with a view of the beach. Lots of loungers which do get snapped up pretty fast but the hotel has a policy to try to avoid people reserving loungers. Massages also available on the beach next to the pool and hotel restaurant (though more expensive than other places nearby) serves good food and has a good happy hour on its cocktails which are great.

PPassenger63947301697This is our 4th hotel out of 7 on this particular trip but sadly comes in a bit lacking for me, I had very high expectations. Firstly on check we asked about hiring a moped. The girl on the tours desk barely looked up from her phone and said “no”. We managed to rent one down the road at Miami but this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in Thailand that doesn’t help with motorbike rental. We didn’t approach her for anything else as for me, first impressions last. Our room was okay, can’t imagine when booking why I thought a bath on the balcony was a good idea! My bad! There was tons of wardrobe space and the bed and pillows were comfy. Lacked conditioner & body lotion which I’ve found in other hotels. Generally the room was a bit tired and needed a good deep clean. The bathroom mirror hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest and we had ants around the sink on day three. The shower had very intermittent water temperatures and had black mould at the bottom near the drain. Also tea/coffee spills on the floor that hadn’t been mopped. The communal areas I also found to be grubby and unkempt. No-one sweeps up leaves and they get mingled with bits of rubbish. The sunbed areas aren’t mopped so drink spillages give sticky dirty patches. You get the gist. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and half decent coffee. I just found the ambience to be generally quite standoffish and unfriendly, apart from Mr Bunty who was lovely. Most days we went out to Horizon Bar on the beach, much nicer vibe. There are no showers or foot washes between the beach and the pools which results in the pool being full of sand. All in all I have been disappointed, for the price I expected better. Small improvements would make this hotel much better.

Very Good
GGuest UserWe had such a good stay at the hotel before that we came back again this time when we were visiting Koh Lanta for diving. We can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't include this option. - Staff are very nice and friendly. - Really listen to feedback - last time I had suggested water dispensers to save on plastic, when we returned for this trip (only 2 weeks later) there was now one on each floor! This was amazing to see and I'm so glad the hotel is taking steps to be more eco friendly, so thank you! - The room was much bigger than it looks, and has a large desk with a chair. - Strong, reliable WiFi. - Very clean. - On our previous trip, we were able to check in early at no extra cost which we really appreciated :) - Room includes a fridge. - Very close to a 7-eleven and a few restaurants, although we didn't go to that particular stretch of beach it is also close to a beach, located in a more quiet area in the centre of the island making it easy to visit the north and south (but, the location does require you to have a motorbike to get around!). - Good, strong air con. - Value for money is very good. The only negative during our stay was that at one point my boyfriend's shoes were nowhere to be found in the lobby, (as per Thai culture, you must leave them outside before entering the guest house), and it turned out another guest / neighbour had 'borrowed' them. Luckily they had only gone to the shop and so we weren't without the shoes for long, but it still wasn't ideal... Not the fault of the owner, but perhaps a sign requesting people to not do this? Overall though, we had a great stay and would definitely come back if we visit Koh Lanta again!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a stunning location. The views are simply amazing. It is noticeable that the hotel has remnants of its former luxury, that it is ancient and has not been in operation for a long time. But the ratio of the price ($50 per night) with the service and the opening views of the island and the sea - only covers its shortcomings in the form of tired furniture. The choice of food is not very large, but we are not a picky customer. We were satisfied with everything, including breakfast included in the price and separate dishes that we ordered for lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and fulfilled every request. The downside is that there is no swimming beach, but after walking 1 kilometer along the beach, we realized that there are no ideal beaches on this side. And all the five hotels that were along the road are suffering just as much as we are, only the price is higher there. Another minus is that the room we chose near the pool is high up and it’s hard to climb up the steps into it, but this effort is rewarded with a mesmerizing view from the room or the pool. We spent most of the time at the pool, because... Swimming on the beach is not very comfortable. But I think that we are lucky, because... we were alone there. Completely alone, there were only 5 people in the hotel, together with us, and we saw other people a couple of times. It was gorgeous, chilling in the pool with the coolest views of other islands and watching the birds fly from tree to tree.

HHanneMI had an amazing stay at the brand-new Phumala Lanta Seaview Resort! The bungalows are unique, built on stilts amidst lush greenery, with a magical view over the treetops and the coast. Staying here feels like being in a small fairytale, with comfortable beds, modern air conditioning, and a lovely terrace featuring both a bathtub and sun loungers. Between the bungalows, charming lighting in the trees creates a special and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. If any challenges arise, the staff and owner are incredibly attentive and resolve everything quickly and efficiently. The service is truly top-notch! The resort is just a 5-7 minute walk from a beautiful and peaceful beach, and shops and restaurants are also nearby. Across the road, Pad Thai Rock n Roll serves absolutely amazing food, and their staff is incredibly friendly – a must-visit during your stay. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it from four to nine nights. Note that the hotel shares its reception with Bakantiang Resort, so make sure to mention this to your taxi driver to find the correct location. Highly recommended!
