To start we arrived at the hotel some time after noon as a party of 7, my parents, my two sisters, my partner and my one of my sisters partners and we booked two rooms for one night. Upon walking into the hotel we were greeted to a literal construction site. There was a large tarp on the far end of the lobby which covered up something, presumably renovation work, and the ground had guys working on tiling. We had to walk over a cardboard walkway to get to our rooms. The front desk was staffed by two people, who didn’t have uniforms. Behind the front desk looked disorganized and on the front desk there was a pile of pillows and blankets. The staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful which is possibly the only good thing about this place. The walls of this place all have black streaks and smudge marks and every doorframe had dents and smudge marks near the handles. It looked horrible. First pair of rooms: The room meant for my sisters, me and our partners didn’t have a fold out bed like we had booked. The room was clean, though I didn’t have to time to look around as we had pretty much went straight back to the front desk to get a new room. The room my parents stayed in smelt strongly of cigarettes, and they also switched rooms right away. Second pair of rooms: Upon walking into the room we were staying in the smell of funk but mostly urine hit us. It was so bad it had my sister and I gagging. The tables in the rooms had what seemed to be oil or some residue form cleaning products, the fold out bed/couch looked like it had been there sense the 80s and had yellow stains on its pillows, the walls had splash marks from something and the windows, which we opened to try and air out the place had no screens so bugs could just fly in. The room was disgusting. My parents room was fine and they had pretty much the same problem we did but to a lesser extent and no urine smell. Third pair: The woman who was looking after us was very polite and helpful and was able to get us two extra rooms, one for my parter and I and one for my two sisters and their partner. Our smelt like cleaner and funk when we walked in but wasn’t too bad smelling. At this point we left to go eat and shop and when we came back the room smelt like feet for some reason. My partner and I had just decided this is probably the best we’ll get and stayed in this room. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. With the state this place is in I have no idea why it’s open for people to stay in. The more I look the grosser it gets. If you want to stay in a place that isn’t gross and doesn’t smell or look like a crack den go across the road at the holiday in.

This Residence Inn is okay nothing special and needs work. The staff was friendly and helpful to me although they seemed new or not really caring or apologetic of issues that occurred to Marriott returning Elite members. Marriotts website says the rooms are newly reflashed. They are not the rooms are hurting they look old and worn. From what • I saw they only changed a few things like the carpets, cabinet doors, new appliances(that still looked old) and the bathroom floor. That's it they definitely did it on the cheap they should of done the it from the ground up. Our room was very dark with dead lights and lights that just did not work. Our bathroom sink was clogged to. So we went down to the front desk asking if maintenance could come and fix some things. I was told there was no maintenance on property but I could have the tool to unclogged the sink. I sad no that's not right to have me do it(I am above a Elite member). So we got another room again this room was very dark but everything did work. It was missing the TV remote but I got one at the desk. I guess my point is this hotel has a big maintenance issue and I would say some issues without staff on how they treat returning members. The hotel is old and it shows and a lack of maintenance the place will just continue getting worse. It was very clean and did not have any bad smells. The location is okay it's not fair to the city, stores, SU but there is nothing to do around the hotel grounds. Being said stay at this hotel if you want a big room some kitchen amenities but don't expect a true Marriott experience or service and a badly renovated room.

This Embassy Suites is a perfect place to stay while in Syracuse and area. The hotel has been fully renovated and the pictures on the Hilton website are an accurate representation of what you will see when you arrive. Great location and plenty of free parking. The cooked-to-order breakfast and evening cocktail reception are well worth a visit. What impressed us the most was the staff at the hotel. We were always made to feel welcome and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The suites are nicely decorated and the one we had showed no wear and tear, everything was well maintained and very clean. Good job Embassy Suites on Old Collamer Road, DeWitt (adjacent to Syracuse and easy access to all major routes)!

Shabby and rundown hotel, simple breakfast with muffin as the main course. Additionally, the sound proofing in the rooms we're extremely poor as we could hear the sounds of our neighbours resulting in bad sleep. On the other hand rhe location was great as it was next to the highway and the enormous mall with attractions rhat will keep you entertained for days.

Very disappointed with my stay here. The only positive was that it was across from the mall. I don't think there was one furniture surface that wasn't stained including ”p-leather” chairs pealing in the lobby. I was in room 301, it had a funky smell and had a bed that was leaning on one side and the mattress that was also in terrible condition, the pillows were also terrible. For a newer hotel, I was expecting a lot more at the very least I was expecting it to be cleaner than a Motel but sadly that wasn't the case.

Outstanding
GGuest UserNewly updated interior of room, fresh paint, new flooring, updated bathroom fixtures. Very comfortable bed and fresh linens. Breakfast included was well stocked with many options. Would 10/10 recommend.
HHyde FamilyAll staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Very clean. Didn’t have an opportunity to use pool or gym but they looked very clean. Wish there was a better selection for breakfast and the beer/seltzer selection was low. Not terrible. I would definitely stay again!
HHSTTravelerMary, the Associate General Manager was exceptionally friendly upon check in after a very long drive and a late night arrival Common areas are clean and well designed, which is a nice trait of Spring Hill Suites. Rooms, weirdly less so. Clean which is nice, but the room layout was weird with double the closet space than what's needed. the TV in the small space between the bedroom area and sitting area (across from the wall between the secitons-hard to explain). Overall layout in room felt dated (relatively speaking) and there was wear in the room (carpets and sofa), which is also weird since i thought they just redid the hotel. Breakfast was great. Having been staying in a lot of hotels during COVID with the bagged breakfast of a pre-packaged muffin or danish, red delicious apple, and cheap juice. They were much better. Yogurt and better quality juice provided. Stay here again? Sure, great stop over between midwest and east coast. Stay here and want to visit Syracuse...maybe closer options to downtown, but this is nice and clean and friendly
최최I used it during my business trip and I was able to spend the perfect day on business trips. Thank you for your excellent service when staying. I leave after using it well.
Needed a Marriott room last minute on a night availability was tight all over town. Booked sight unseen. I'll admit it IS scary to roll up to an early build Courtyard, especially when it is located in a cluster of obviously older hotels. (I might have had an issue or two in the past with old Courtyards myself). Quiet (but I woud stay away from the highway if possible), clean, higher quality bedding. Don't think it had been a gut remodel, but room and public areas updated more than reasonably well. (Yes you could tell it was a bit older building, and a bit of musty to it. But redone way better than just smearing lipstick on it). I would say B or B+ hotel, and there is nothing wrong with that. Might not book if for a honeymoon, but if it is neatr where I need to be in town and the price is competetive I would stay there again. Reasonably near airport-but not right next door. If the hotel Bistro dining isn,t for you, there is a Ruby Tuesdays, and one other restaurant, a very short walking distance away. Forgot to check if there was a shuttle.
GGuest UserWas going to give 4 stars however I deducted one more star due to the cigarette smoking spot. I don’t care if you want to smoke, the unfortunate part is where they have their dedicated smoking area is that it’s in the nicest part of the hotel grounds. It’s between the breakfast area and pool right off the main lobby. There is a great breakfast in the morning with tables right outside this area, but virtually no one was eating out here because of the people smoking and ash trays on the tables. Literally, move the smoking area anywhere else on the grounds. Ok aside from that grievance, the rest of the hotel is decent. Staff was nice, especially the guy working the breakfast station. He was working hard, was polite, enthusiastic, and getting everyone what they needed. Rooms were decent, a bit dated but you could tell they were making some upgrades. Bed was comfy and the pillows were 5/5 due to them not being the crappy feather ones your head falls right through. Bravo! Hallways are definitely in need of new carpet. Long-standing stains and again, the smell of cigarettes lingered. The room did not smell so we had no issues with it there. Pool area is beautiful and perfect for lounging. I would recommend this hotel if you are someone with moderate expectations. It’s also in a great location to the mall and Green Lake state park.
SShawn RBeds had been made, but not changed, and there was human hair in the beds. Tub was filthy and clogged. Carpet was so dirty that walking on it barefoot turned our feet black! There was a dead, dried rose laying on the floor next to the bed. Dirtiest room we've ever stayed in!
GGuest UserThe location and price for great the receptionist was even helpful when we had trouble with the key cards. However, there is absolutely no hygiene in that hotel the hallway smelled like sewer, and there were dead flies, just laying on the windowsill of the hallway window. The doors had looked as if someone had broken into them before dents on the locks. When you actually get inside the room, you were in into more problems in terms of the sink, being rusted with paint chipping off and in the bathroom, the shower had yellow stains and hairs all over it, despite the room having been cleaned. The room had like 4 outlets and only 2 of them worked. The bed was fine just had some minor stains on the bed head. Overall if cleanliness is important to you. I do not recommend this hotel.
BBENGWe check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning.
The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport.
Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.
