Located near male, this rustic themed resort offers excellent service. We only stayed 2 nights but already felt like we were treated like family.

We really enjoyed the butler service that Gili provided. They call butler “Mr. Friday”. Our Mr. Friday, Mr. Mifi, is amazing. He took care of all our issues, from booking dinners to booking spa and tennis class.

Returning to Gili after a year's absence, I originally wanted to book the Sunset Crusoe, but it was too difficult to get a reservation. I managed to snag two nights in a lagoon room, though I didn't manage to book one with half-board this time, but that's okay. From the moment I arrived, I saw many familiar faces. The lagoon room was fantastic, much more comfortable than the pool room I booked last time. The lagoon was beautiful, and the welcome snacks, fruit, and champagne were such a thoughtful touch! A big thank you to our Mr. Friday (Makif) – he was incredibly responsive and helpful. The four different themed meals were still fantastic, and the service was consistently excellent! Last year I came with my child, and when I told my husband how beautiful Gili was, he wholeheartedly agreed! This year, we were very lucky to see many small fish, and the dolphin parade was a constant surprise. Besides dolphins, we also saw sea turtles and flying fish – a truly unforgettable vacation, and I'll definitely come back!

If you're looking for a tranquil island in the Maldives with blue skies, white clouds, turquoise seas, coconut palms, sandy beaches, all-log thatched overwater bungalows, and six-star dining, then Gili Lankanfushi is the perfect choice. This time, we stayed in an overwater bungalow in the lagoon area. Not only was the bungalow stunning, but we also deserve special mention for our personal butler, KK, a lovely lady who speaks both English and fluent Chinese. Her attentive, thoughtful, and enthusiastic service made our five-day, four-night stay even more relaxing and enjoyable! Gili Lankanfushi—the Maldivian island where dreams become reality!

I did a lot of research, so I thought I would see "this is it!" everywhere, but I was impressed far beyond my imagination. It was well maintained, which is hard to believe for a hotel that has been around for over 20 years, and the staff were very unique and enjoyed their work, which was also fun. The breakfast had so many options that I never got bored even though I stayed for four nights. I tried the staff's recommendations and tried the daily specials, and my smile never stopped. The only disappointment was the weather and not being able to see any sea turtles. The weather was not quite clear, so... I went snorkeling at the spot three times, but still couldn't see any sea turtles... It was quite disappointing, but I still had fun seeing various fish and having a full moon dinner. Of course, activities and everything you do will cost you at resort prices, so if you have a lot of leeway financially, I think you won't get bored even if you stay for a long time.

If you are still researching and are in doubt between Gili and another resort, your search is over. If you can, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy unique and unforgettable moments at this outstanding hotel. Paradisiacal beaches and rooms, impeccable service where you will be very pampered and well looked after. The only downside is that when your daily allowance ends, you will be very unaccustomed. It's very worth it. I will cherish the moments I lived here for the rest of my life. I hope to have the opportunity to return.

It was the best resort!

Location, environment and services are all good. It's worth recommending. However, due to the barefoot concept, there were a lot of thorns on the soles of the feet on the wooden deck. Other than that I am satisfied

This is a truly lovely medium sized island/resort, and as good as it gets I would say, if you are looking for barefoot luxury with a very personalised approach. The hosts are delightfully friendly and engaged. Our butler, Miffi, produced some wonderful surprises for an anniversary we had. The over water villas are unusually generously proportioned and diving/snorkelling in the areas is very good. The main dining area has a long stretch of beach and offers one of the most memorable dining environments I can recall. The food experience is also as good as I have enjoyed in Asia generally. There are twice daily complimentary cultural experiences of about 45 minutes each allowing you to get to know the staff and the local traditions. I would highly recommend this for a two centre Maldives holiday. Its proximity to Male lends itself beautifully to this. If you like high end boutique hotel experiences, you will probably really enjoy Gili.

We had a wonderful time at Gili Lankanfushi where the service was impeccable and the villa was huge and well appointed. The breakfast spread was excellent and we were met with attentive service every morning. The dive centre is professional and guided us through four lovely dives where we saw many turtles and huge manta rays. The dive instructors are very knowledgeable and guided us to many wonderful dive sites where we saw many other marine life. Rohan, the sommelier, helped us with our wine selection and explained many of the finer points of wine tasting with patience and expertise. All in all a fabulous experience in paradise! We definitely plan to go back!
