I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately our stay at Treasure Island was extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue was check-in. After driving around 7 hours to Las Vegas with my son, we then had to stand in a queue for over 2 hours just to get our room. There were huge queues, only a couple of staff checking guests in, while other staff appeared not to be helping. The self-check-in machines were also not working properly, making the situation even worse.
When we finally got to our room, the problems continued. The bedside lamp wouldn’t switch off, meaning my son couldn’t get to sleep until maintenance eventually came. The fridge wasn’t cooling, there was no body wash in the bathroom, and nobody explained where or when breakfast was served despite it being included with our booking.
Communication throughout our stay was poor. Emails went unanswered, and although staff apologised and blamed a new system, that didn’t make up for the amount of time and frustration it caused. It felt like a large part of our Las Vegas trip was spent dealing with hotel issues instead of enjoying our holiday.
The hotel itself is in a convenient location on the *****, and once checked in the room was acceptable, but the customer service and overall experience fell well below what I would expect from a hotel of this size.
Sadly, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.
