Tropicana Laughlin - A Caesars Rewards Destination

An older no-frills property. Minimal upkeep and attention to detail noted. There were three lamps in the room. None of them had charging ports or even outlets on them. I haven’t been in a hotel in the last 15 years that didn’t have that. The Smashburger and pizza restaurants and what they call a food court were severely understaffed with one girl in the Pizza area and two in the Smashburger with a line that must’ve been 30 people long. The food we did have was certainly subpar. I’d say probably the worst thing about it was that a few minutes after we checked in the alarm, went off, followed by someone announcing “we’re trying to find out what caused the alarm. We will notify you as soon as possible. Please remain in your rooms until we give the all clear.” OK that can happen. However no one announced anything after that and there was no “all clear” given. Our calls to the front desk went and answered as they must’ve been busy with hundreds of other people trying to reach them to find out what was going on. We took it upon ourselves after about 45 minutes to leave the room and there was nothing going on. We found a security guard and he said “oh something tripped the alarm but it might’ve been dust in a smoke detector, but there was a shift change and somebody must’ve forgot and that’s why nobody notified anybody.” We definitely would not stay there again and as far as the whole town, Laughlin, just a second rate lower class vibe all around.

Registration process was easy and smooth. Rooms were clean, nosy level of kids on sides room were a little loud.

It was okay but no refrigerator and when I took a shower the tub was very slow same as the sink.

Hotel was paid for in advance including resort fees. upon checkout my deposit was not refunded properly and more resort fees was added. Was not happy at all

The hotel is very nice as we have stayed there before. The only complaint I have is we booked a deluxe king East River view room. They put us in a deluxe West view that overlooked the pool. I didn't put up a fuss over it as the pool view was also nice to look at. Otherwise the ****** floor has lots of choices and bar service was efficient. We enjoyed our stay and the pool time every morning. The pool wasn't heated though so feet in the pool was about it.

Great staff. Clean rooms. Bargain prices. Anytime we visit lovely Laughlin, Nevada we have to stay at the Tropicana.
