Motel 6 Laurel, MS

Changed room twice because of roaches, room was not cleaned bathroom dirty only clean linen on the bed.

Very disappointed!! The desk manager was very helpful and nice. We arrived at night, and did not feel unsafe. The three rooms were horrible! The bedding had holes, the floors were filthy, the bathtub was dirty, shower curtains were moldy, towels were stained, fingernail clippings on the nightstand, the toilet seat was not attached, the bathroom door was falling apart and didn’t close completely, windows were dirty and one of the security locks didn’t work.

Dresser drawers taped up with electrical tape, very thin mattress, pillows the size of breath mints, very little toilet paper on roll with no spare.

The bed was wore out. The furniture was beat up. The light fixtures had the paint coming off. The floor of the bath tub had a hole big enough to get a toe in it. It was not at all what I was expecting.

We did not stay. i want my money back. This hotel isn't ready for anyone to stay in it. It doesn't hav a sign up that says it is a Motel 6. We thought it was closed. We went in and she said it is under renovation. Things were stacked in the main room up to the ceiling. No breakfast here. I asked to see the room. It was nasty and we backed out and went to the front desk to get a refund and she says we have to ask ******* for a refund. How can you represent a Hotel like this. She also said she never checks the rooms so she doesn't know what condition it is in.

We had a reservation for a first floor room. My friend said, “Roach,” while we waited to check in. The man in front of us smashed it on the wall with his boot. The clerk told us she only had a 2nd floor room. It was dirty and rundown. We left to find more suitable lodging.

As Hotwire apparently likes to bait & switch, the website said that we we either get Roadway Inn or Hampton Inn. Believing they were comparable we got the former and we’re looking forward to our stay after an 8 hour drive. When we arrived we were told they put us in a smoking room which we quickly resolved w the exception that the bathtub faucet “had a small drip”. After parking our car in a sketchy neighborhood we noticed many of the tenants/truck drivers with their doors open hanging out on the balcony. We arrived at our room and noticed the entire door frame was rotting away. Upon entering the room was hot and smelled like mildew. As we turned on the lights, the walls began to move with the sheer amount of bugs crawling over every surface. Desperate to use the bathroom my wife screamed as she found a large amount of fecal matter behind the toilet roll dispenser w only a half roll of TP and a dirty stained towel to assist. The small “drip” was pouring out of the bathtub. By now my wife was in the fetal position crying doing her best to not even sit in the dilapidated red chairs that must have been found by the side of the road. We went to the front desk to address our concerns and he cleaned the feces and left everything else in its original condition. We called Hotwire and Roadway refused to give us a refund and could not move us anywhere for the night. We would have slept in the car except for the parking lot was just as terrifying. We finally moved (and paid) for a room at the other hotel that Hotwire baited us as comparable. We are frequent travelers and this was the absolute worst hotel experience we have ever encountered.
