What a brilliant quirky place with fabulous decor and comfy seating. Warm and welcoming. Great service and food too. Excellent quiz by Max on Mondays followed by karaoke. Visit there, you won’t be disappointed.

This hotel cannot be closer to the metro ! So, very central. But the rooms are small, even very small. The noise is also an issue in the evening. This hotel is worth a one night visit (urban art decoration) but not for several nights.

very unsatisfactory night: customers of the hotel's rooftop bar screamed until 2 am, in the corridors, in the elevators, in the stairs. This didn't seem to bother the staff of the bar, they must not know they work in a hotel. I couldn't sleep at all until 2 am. I complained the day after to management, as i wanted a compensation for not being able to sleep, was only offered reward points, and told it's really a shame i didn't complain on the night. Avoid this place if you're trying to sleep...

This is a very small Hotel very well placed in the center next to the metro, restaurants, bars, etc. It was a terrible stay because: -the cleanliness was bad; -the rooms are very small; -the room had tobacco smell mixed with perfume; -it doesn't have A/C and it was 28ºC outside; -there is a rooftop bar that runs on the top of the clients heads during the night. In the end I couldn't' sleep because of the loud noise and the heat. The hotel staff was always very helpful and very nice and that's the reason I give 2/5. I'll never come back and I don't suggest it to anyone.

Centrally situated in old town Lausanne. Great for an overnight stay en route to Geneva airport for an early flight. Friendly fun staff. Rooms are small but clean, there was water and a coffee machine. Perfect for an overnight stay. Some reviews reported it being noisy but we did not experience any more than in any other hotel.

Great location, excellent coffee. But not a place I’d chose myself, or pay for from my own budget. Tiny tiny rooms, can’t even unpack, no desk, nowhere to work. Otherwise all good, if you don’t need the space.

We booked this via the Accor app, it really looked pleasing and in reality it lived up to the advertising. Well located near transport, restaurants and local attractions. The rooms are small but functional, ours had a coffee pod machine, the bar and rooftop bar are awesome. The staff are excellent and friendly. Stay here and you won't be disappointed.

Very good location with metro next door. The room, while quirky, was claustrophobic as you couldn't swing a cat in it. Thankfully, we didn't come to Lausanne to spend our time in a hotel room! Check-in and check-out staff were very friendly as was the chap from Andalusia on the rooftop bar. We didn't bother with the 15 euro per person breakfast and got coffee/pastries from the nearby Migros for a fraction of the price. Appeals much more to a younger crowd (my wife and I are in our 40s but are still young at heart). All told, not bad value for money but I would probably stay in a more traditional establishment next time.

This hotel is exactly what you need it to be - close to transport links, close to the centre, clean, friendly and fun! The staff on reception could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I was given my room key but also (unexpectedly) a metro pass for the duration of my stay which was a God send for getting about the city. The metro is also right next door to the hotel so it couldn't have been any better. The rooms are on the smaller side as may reviews have suggested, however, as a solo traveller this did not really bother me. Thankfully the room had a ceiling fan as it did get very warm. As well as the metro pass you are also given a free drink voucher for the roof top bar as a welcome drink, a free pair of sunglasses and packet of condoms :P haha. My only criticism was that on my last night, I went to the rooftop bar planning to have a couple of drinks while reading my book (as I had most nights) only this time was made to feel very unwelcome. The bar was fairly busy as half was clearly being used for a function. There were a couple of tables on the 'free' side reserved so I avoided them and sat where I was taking up the least room. Before even bringing me a menu the waiter came over to tell me that because it was busy and because I was on my own he would be 'forced' to ask me to leave if they needed the table for a bigger party. I understand that bigger tables are better for business, but as a paying customer, and a hotel guest, I felt I had as much right to sit there as anyone else. I had one drink and left as I didn't feel very wanted. It was a shame as up until that point I had no faults in the hotel or the staff but as a solo traveller being told that because you are alone you are less of a priority hit a raw nerve and I did not appreciate it.

To be honest we were a bit disappointed by this Ibis Styles hotel. Usually we always have good experiences while staying in an Ibis Styles hotel, and yes, staff was friendly, but oh my, what a small room we had. There was no room to hang up your clothes, or to put any of your stuff away. There was only one coat hanger and not even a hook to hang your coat on. Some of the power outlets didn't work anymore. The hotel provided free water and juice in the room and they offered sun glasses as a gift. The bed was very small and surrounded by three walls, meaning that my partner had to climb over me when he wanted to go to the toilet during the night. Not convenient at all. The sink was encapsulated between the outer wall and the wall of the shower, which meant there was hardly any room to even wash your face. You couldn't even put a tooth brush on the sink! The room did have a separate shower and toilet, but I would have preferred that they would have remodelled the room as to make better use of the available space. Really this room was not practical at all. We payed 15 CHF for the breakfast which was very basic (some bread, cheese, cut meat, hard boiled eggs and yoghurt) but fresh. The hotel provided free water during the whole day.

Fun place to stay, quirky rooms which are small but how much room do you need?Really comfy beds. Staff were great, so friendly and helpful. Central for restaurants and culture. Short walk to station. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Will return.
