Having arrived in Dieppe from Newhaven in early July, we sought a simple Stop Over hotel en route to the Gironde. Alencon, north of Le Mans fitted the bill, and the strangely named Hotel Inn Design Resto Novo at Valframbert turned out to be an excellent choice, under three hours from Dieppe. Our ground floor room had a very comfortable King sized bed and en suite shower room: it was well insulated from outside noise. The Reception and Restaurant Staff were cheerful, helpful and with practical English. We opted into their Set Menu supper, which was first rate, as was the Buffet Breakfast the following morning. We set off early for an eight hour, Summer Saturday spell on the Autoroutes 28 and 10, refreshed and in good spirits. We would stay there again.
