Hotel la Villa Douce

If you are not french, do not book this hotel! 1. Restaurants and bar area are not allowed to asian people? : They told us the restaurants are fully booked all night long. And i even asked them if any seats available late at night, and they kept told me they are busy. Guess what happened? More than half seats were empty after 8:30 and even i saw people walking in the the bar/restaurants. 2. Room service: i begged (literally) them we are super hungry and we need something to eat. They told us to go out of hotel to get things to eat. But the hotel located on top of the hill, and we didnt want to waste our time. So what i asked was, take out some foods from the restaurants. And then, i found out the room service was available! (After asking more than 10times! Was it a hidden secret only for french?) 3. (Continued on) room service: employee working at the lobby told me that i can only order food after 9. (It was okay to me..) and i went to the lobby around 8:40(20 minutes earlier than 9!!) and ordered food. And we saw another room service was delivered to the next door around 9:25ish??? And guess what happened? Our food delievered to our room around 10!!! (Even after calling more than 3 times, and employee just hung up on me!) Ive been to france more than 5 times, and it was almost a nightmare to us! And i figured out we were only asian, and we were only ppl speaking in english! Please please do not book this hotel if you dont speak french! ** and i reported this to the trip.com and they told me that the hotel will give us a email about this ( to say sorry). It has been more than a week and i never got any email from you. You guys are just racist!**** Picture below : took around 8:30-9, most of seats were empty and few people walked in to the place w/o reservation

This place is a hidden gem and surpassed all of our expectations. We were greeted by name, shown to the terrace with a nice refreshing drink then given a brief tour of the grounds before being shown to our room. We booked a pool view room on the ground floor which was the perfect location. It was late when we arrived and the view the next morning was a treat. Rooms are well equipped with everything you could ask for including a coffee machine, pillow menu, slippers, robes, Rituals soaps, safe and more. Beds were a little firmer than my preference but I have found this to be common in the South of France. There are also a water refill station on the grounds which we found useful. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and the view from the terrace was breathtaking. The hotel also offer complimentary tea time with homemade cake in the afternoon which was a nice touch. We only stayed 2 nights and during that time we ate lunch in the hotel restaurant and had drinks in the evening, both were very good. Overall we couldn't have asked for more, our only complaint was that we didn't book to stay for longer!

This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Everything makes you feel relaxed. We visited in November so it was chilly but still very beautiful. It must be outstanding in warmer months. It was easy to explore the area from the location.

This hotel is by far our best experience in the South of France. Nothing was too much trouble for the very professional and friendly staff of La Villa Douce - from the cleaning ladies, receptionists and concierge to the waiters/waitresses/barman. They also have a very good chef, who made deliciously fresh and sophisticated food at both lunch and dinner. We loved the buffet breakfast with mostly organic and local produce, home made cakes, etc. The pool area is lovely and very quiet & relaxing with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. Our room was in the superior category with sea view. It had a very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and sufficient storage space. We were also able to charge our electric car free of charge in front of the hotel. It truly felt like a home away from home, although more luxurious. We will be back for sure (and recommend your hotel to all our friends). Thank you for a magical holiday!

Outstanding hotel, restaurant, and facilities, as having an (excellent) breakfast at the terrace is quite a visual experience. Very hard to find any negatives with this top of the hill gem. Key is that hotel is open all year round, hence staff is stable. A car is needed as access is hilly.

We were welcomed by a very friendly staff who was always willing to answer questions and help in any way. The view was spectacular, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower...incredible! The balcony view can't be beat. Breakfast was included each day, with a wide variety of choices for food and drink. Eating breakfast on a large terrace/balcony was amazing, overlooking the Sea. We had a rental car and we drove to nearby towns and villages. The beach was lovely - the water was a tad bit cool at first, but once we got in, it was so refreshing and fun to swim in (and cool off from the sun!) We booked massages at the hotel, which were lovely, as well. The pool was refreshing and clean. The service provided at every occasion was really wonderful. I would really recommend La Villa Douce.

a classy hotel on the riviera- modern and bright with great food and lovely scenery from almost everywhere in the hotel.Gave grat tips on where to visit and see and always helpful staff. The breakfasy area overlooks the ocean and most rooms have an ocean view.We had a lovely room overlooking trhe ocean

5 star service and quality in relaxed way. We had an excellent holiday in La Villa Douche. I read all the reviews and had high expectations but the place was even better than I expected. The staff was super helpful. We had one special need in our sleeping arrangements and even that was arranged by the personnel. This was an exceptional and really good service by Villa La Douche. The really want to make your stay as a success. We (family of two teenage daughters) spend 5 days relaxing, swimming and snorkeling and eating good in exceptionally beautiful Surroundings. The nearest Rayol beach was very beautiful and only few minutes by car. We game all the way from Finland by car so it was good to reserve a parking place beforehand. We visited Saint Tropez as well as the other small beautiful villages. In July it was quite hot but the hotel made all the surroundings very pleasant and the new pool restaurant was great! We will definitely come back.

We really enjoyed every moment we spent in the hotel. The food - prepared creatively, fresh and qualitative, The room - clean and with all the necessary facilities. The pool - clean and again with great service. The location - not far from St. Tropez, with an amazing view. The best feature is the personalised touch in every detail.
