This place needs closing down! The people running it filed for liquidation back in 2010 with Company House. All the staff are friends and/or family of the owners, they have people arrive to visit the owners at random times of the day. Also despite advertising check-out and check-in times they keep all the external doors either unlocked or wide open 24/7 despite having families with YOUNG CHILDREN living there so there’s no security. The owners spend all day on their private apartment at the back of the hotel or at the very top of the hotel, including the receptionist. There’s a massive language barrier due to them being Indian and rarely speaking English, it took me 4 attempts to ask for a simple bar of soap (which they don’t keep on site). There’s COCKROACHES AND ANTS hiding in the walls ! Nothing gets cleaned unless you ASK!

This is the word hotel I’ve ever started in the walls were damp, the room was dirty, the carpet were sticky, the bathroom was mouldy, the shower was broken and the tv didn’t work. There is apparently nothing good to say about this hotel, I’ve stayed in better hostels. The fact they ask for a deposit on arrival is a Joke, this hotel is the worst and should be shut down by environmental health. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I wanted somewhere cheap. Only £50. Up the road £115. I arrived and it suddenly became £70 cash only. Maybe I mis-understood. The room was a double. Working TV. Clean sheets, towels, kettle with milk, coffee and tea. Room a bit run down, but not that bad. Reception and walk to room had a lot of character. Car park felt safe for car and reasonable area. Negatives. I had to ask for a toilet roll and in the morning the shower did not work. If I had asked I think I could have moved rooms. Overall I got somewhere cheaper, so not going to be as good as the hotel up the road.

Made a booking as last resort due to football fan tsunami that was taking place due to the Leeds match that was on…there were no rooms left but the 2 lovely men on the desk made room for us, no television, no kettle, no lamps but a somewhat comfortable bed and shower room /toilet, fine for one night last minute. We were hungry a little later and ordered food from takeaway, I had no cutlery so I called at the reception and was taken aback to be told “ no you can’t have a knife and fork because the kitchen is closed at that time” it wasn’t polite or hospitable and made me feel down, I ate messily with my hands and it wasn’t enjoyable. To deny me basic instruments used to eat is just plain rotten, it made me feel really sad that someone would be that way. Shame on him ..but the other 2 gents were such a ray of sunshine.

Good to stay in budget, basic accommodation but adequate, stayed about 10 days, nice staff, neat and clean beddings, room cleaned by staff every day, staff were polite and helpful, great value for money, would stay again.

This is honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We had to pay a £20 deposit for the room key. This was not stated at the time of booking, or in any of the follow up correspondence. We were given room 5 and it was tiny and very dated, as was the whole hotel. We’d been in the room a few minutes when a staff member knocked on demanding payment for the room. I’d booked through *********** so assumed payment would be taken by card and would be taken upon check out. The room was filthy, the extractor fan made a horrible racket and there were wires dangling from the TV in the corner of the room. Even worse - the mattress was a double mattress on a single divan base! My partner fell off the bed as he sat the mattress gave way below him. We complained and were moved to room 7 which was a little larger but equally as filthy. You could see in the bathroom tiles where they had wiped so far up then left the rest. The bathroom window didn’t shut, the shower dripped constantly and the main door was sticky and made a racket every time we went in or out. We tried to complain again but we’re told we had just woken him up. We left as I couldn’t bear spending another minute there. I wish I’d read the reviews before booking!

Do not stay at this hotel, damp smell, unhelpful staff, very dusty. Towels very stained which we used on the floor so we could take our shoe's off. Wouldn't dear use the shower as we would have been dirtier than before shower. Someone had obviously done their covid lockdown in the room as when we looked on top of the wardrobe, we'll we was shocked, horrified 😳 about 50 or more tissues where someone laid on the bed blowing nose and throwing tissues on top. Also the covid test were up there with empty bottles. This hotel comes with a health warning don't go there £72 a night wow they need shutting down and a full re vamp terrible. I have stayed in alot of hotels and this is the worst I have ever been to.
