This is a dreadful hotel. I normally only like to write positive reviews but this hotel really is terrible. I used to stay in this hotel over 25 years ago when it was a Post House. It was OK then. Nothing special, but OK. The rooms have not been updated in 25 years, neither has the bathroom. The walls have been painted purple (although whoever slopped the paint on them needed glasses as the sockets are painted over, the light switches too) in the main corridor but that seems to be the extent of any update. There was a rather naff mirror hanging in the restaurant 25 years ago with 'sun rays' all around it - it is still there! The heating packed up in our room on the coldest night of the year, so we were given an oil filled radiator instead. The food was average with a 'pepper sauce' just being gravy with a bit of pepper chucked in. The whiskey was watered down and the optic used for it had previously been used for an orange liqueur so the watery scotch tasted of orange. It really was not a good experience. Trying to find something positive to say about it, the staff were friendly enough but they were working with tools (i.e. the hotel) that, frankly, would benefit from demolishing and starting again! Oh, and no, I will never be staying there again!

We came to have breakfast to celebrate our little boy’s birthday , Donna and the team made our visit so special starting with Donna singing Happy Birthday as we walked in to us being led to our table where we were greeted by Maddi and to our surprise our table was decorated with birthday banners, Maddi was on hand throughout and made us feel like nothing was to much trouble, thank you all for making our morning so special for our birthday boy.

I’ve had a deep and personal connection to this hotel for over two decades, and I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and reflect on its journey. Prior to being known as Holiday Inn Leicester West, I remember it as *Post House Forte*—a name it held pre-2001. From 2001 to 2005, it operated as Holiday Inn Leicester West, and in 2006 it officially became Premier Inn. My first visit was in *August 2003*, staying for a whole month with my family. We were in rooms *236, 238, and 305*—a memory that still feels close to my heart. Nine years later, in *November 2012*, I returned with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday in *room 343*. A month later, in *December 2012*, she surprised me by booking the same hotel. room 330 for my birthday. We continued the tradition in *November 2013*, and again in *November 2017*, each time staying in that same special room—343. And finally, on *15th May 2025*, my ex-girlfriend and I returned to room 343 one last time, to say goodbye to the place that held so many memories for us. It was a quiet, meaningful closure, both for the hotel and for the chapter we shared there. I want to personally thank all the wonderful staff who made every stay feel like coming home: - Elaine, - Sophie (the chef), - Courtney, - Jason, - Monica, - Donna, - Emma - Alex - Liam ( 2012 ) - Becki ( 2016 ) - Adrian ( 2003 ) - Manager, - and to all the current team that work there. A heartfelt thank you as well to the former/past staff members—Late Ancent, who we first met in 2003, Adrian, and the many others who made this place so warm and welcoming over the years. For 24 years, this hotel provided more than just a place to sleep. It gave comfort, consistency, and the feeling of home. It never felt commercialized or cold—it was *homely*, in the best possible way. Sad to see the place go... but life goes on... Thank you for everything, All the best Krish Dhiman

Excellent as always, easy booking, seamless check-in, good room and good facilities, bar and restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff easy going and professional. This is my third stay here, and have never been disappointed

This is a hotel still stuck in the 1970's. All the decor, bathroom and electrical fittings thought I was in a time warp. I hadn't booked dinner and was really glad I didn't. A coach trip arrived in the evening and we're told there was only one person in the kitchen. Didn't risk breakfast.

The link between reception and rooms lets the hotel down. Mens toilets just off reception STINK. Think rugby stadium after a match. Not good enough for the prices you charge. Offering free WiFi that's terrible, and charging an extra £5 for WiFi you can actually use is taking advantage of your customers.

Well what a shame the premier Inn have decided to sell up to Aldi. It is about the 4th or fifth time we have stayed here and haven't had a bad experience. It is located just out of the city centre and Fosse Park shopping centre; The place is always busy so why they couldn't find the money to upgrade the rooms is beyond beggars belief. Staff are always pleasant and will help you where they can; the room is typical Premier Inn and I for one will disagree with everyone who put a bad review in. A crying shame to lose the place

The only positive about this stay were the friendly ! The room on this visit was grim, the bathroom was full of black mould, the sink plug hole was filthy if you lifted the plug out. The soap dispensers were disgustingly dirty. The fan was dirty and the wiring faulty so I couldn’t leave it on. House keeping manager you really need to be checking! I won’t be returning.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was nice. The door to the room had a faulty lock wouldn't let me in to start with but the staff sorted that swiftly. The room itself was very dated, small and not very inviting at all. There were not plug sockets by the bed, the windows could do with a clean and the bath room was tiny. I was only there one night which was ok but would have asked to move rooms if I had been staying more nights.
